Can I get an amen? We are THERE! I can't wait to see my LO. I have a feeling the next 20 weeks will drag.. Some of you may be 20 weeks if you are due in early June. Some may be fast approaching :)

I searched the board ladies and no one has made a halfway mark thread so I decided to create one. Don't know if it's a bad idea or not.. But I thought it would be interesting to see everyone's highlights so far in pregnancy. Regulars and newbies.

My highlights are

- seeing my LO for the first time

- bonding with my partner over our child.

- stupid hormonal teenager sister calling me fat.. It's great.

- people assuming they know everything about me and my child because they are female or they have had a child before.

- my partners sister asking me if the doctors stretch your vag open for the baby to come out... erm no, your body does it.

- watching my bump grow.

- sickness.. It's great.

- being lazy. Like super lazy.. cause pregnant.

- passing my driving test the month I got my bfp.

- getting to know you lovely ladies.. June 2015 is awesome!.

- getting a June 4th due date.. my partner and I have our anniversary on the 2nd and my birthday is on the 6th.

- my baby being with me on all my terrifying car journeys in the snow.

- feeling like a potato... Just yeah.

- leggings Leggings LEGGINGS!.

Tell me your highlights below.

20 weeks = Happy Dance!!

@C6091‌ - we have the same due date! I'd say the best things so far have been seeing/feeling the baby, getting tons of backrubs from DH, and the newfound joy of having energy again, even if it only comes in spurts.

  • Im 20 weeks today!! My favorite parts are sharing all of this even the bad stuff with my husband and tonight I think I felt a kick from the outside!!!
  • 19w4d and had my a/s today. I am considered an "older mom" (AMA) and feel so lucky to have this chance to become a mom. All looked normal on the scan. Blessed. Baby also measured 12 oz so she is a bit ahead so far. We'll see how she progresses. Baby has been moving around like crazy for the past week or so.

Also, I haven't gained extra weight so far (had a little extra to begin with) so tonight I got some candy and celebrated. A choco covered marshmallow heart and some Starburst. Yum!

Congrats to everyone for making it.
  • Yay for 20 weeks! Looking forward to all of us reaching this point in the next few weeks!

My favorite parts have been seeing how much my husband is excited about this whole process. He's always kissing my belly and calling me beautiful even if I don't feel it.

And also seeing the baby on ultrasound. I've seen a million ultrasound pics from others but it's so different to see your baby wiggling on screen. So exited for my a/s on the 26th!

  • Yay for halfway! My husband felt the baby kick for the first time tonight so that was awesome. I was a little surprised he'd be able to feel it this early but it's been giving some really strong kicks the last few days.
  • I've actually never posted on here, I've always admired everyone else's posts lol buy I'll share what my highlights have been :)
    Btw I'm 19weeks and a day with a due date of June 11 !

-I NEVER got sick. Not once. So thankful!
-I get to find out the sex here shortly !
-I recorded my babies heartbeat when I went to the Dr and listen to it randomly and smile

I hit 20 weeks yesterday, woot woot! A friend due in Feb said, "Now you can start counting down instead of up." Whoa! Highlights: 1) watching DH's face when he first felt the kid kick; 2) looking into DH's excited eyes when Dr told us to turn away from the monitor, so we can stay Team Green; 3) my family all happy and excited again, after a crap year of illness and death. But the magical feeling of your baby kicking inside you is like nothing I've ever experienced. It feels so special, and yet I like the non-specialness of being connected to all women who've given birth over the thousands of years of humanity. Pretty magical. (And I normally hate this trite crap!)

  • So happy for everyone! We've made it this far!! I'll be 21 weeks tomorrow.
    Highlights.
-I bled (bad) from 12-18 weeks and stopped completely right before Xmas and going strong!
-only working 2 days a week because my hubby insists I not over due it since the bleeding.
-FTM, so learning how amazing maternity pants are!!
-bought a house weeks after we got our bfp. So moved and settled in. I was worried about buying and having to move when I was suuuuper pregnant.
-buying my home doppler. Such a life saver when I feel like something isn't right!
-oh and my sickness is just about completely gone. I get nauseated here n there but nothing like before! Yay!

    Love reading everyone's positives :)
  • Today I make 20 weeks! I'm so excited my baby girl will be here in 20 weeks (June 6)
  • I have a late June EDD, but I am still pretty excited about the weeks adding up!
    Highlights have been
    - throwing up mid-lesson in front of 19 4th graders (what a way to tell your class you're expecting)
    - having those same kiddos bring pictures from home that they drew and colored to decorate the baby's room (seriously adorable. I cried.)
    - having my mom forget that I am expecting and call me fat (thanks, lady). She remembered when it left her mouth
    - getting cute baby stuff from everyone I have ever met. Because, as a FTM, people don't think I can buy baby socks on my own. Which is okay, because I might cry every time we go look at baby clothes.
Otherwise, it has been pretty easy going. Maybe not ideal or completely comfortable all of the time, but not the WORST either. I'll take that as a total win.
  • 20 weeks on Monday. It seems so crazy to be halfway. I like the idea in above post to start counting down!

    Highlights?
    - Doc said 2 years ago this wouldn't happen naturally. Wrong!
    - Sharing this with DH. He is so excited and so in love that you can't help but smile daily.
-Naps at my leisure, no excuse necessary.
-Maternity pants, seriously why cant we wear them all the time? They are luscious.

    Let the countdown begin!

  • It's funny my first 2 pregnancies I couldn't wait till they were over and getting to 20 weeks felt like such a milestone. But now with this likely being my last pregnancy I feel like it's going way too fast! As tired and miserable as I feel most days I'm still enjoying every moment. I'm especially gonna miss the fact the even when I'm not doing anything I'm busy growing a baby so I don't have to feel guilty about being lazy.

  • I'll be 20 weeks tomorrow! I feel excited that I'm halfway done because I can't wait to hold my baby. But I'm also starting to feel anxious about getting the nursery ready and being prepared. I also feel a little worried about whether or not I'll be a good mom and make good parenting choices. But I think all of those feelings are pretty common among first time moms. Some highlights of the last 20 weeks are: finding out we're having a healthy girl... seeing her on ultrasounds and taking home cute pictures... feeling her bounce and kick (especially after I have breakfast)... finally having a reason to buy adorable baby clothes... getting excited with my fiancé about being parents.
  • Next Sunday I'll be 20 weeks!

    Highlights
Hearing babies heartbeat and seeing baby kick around inside me. After 2 miscarriages this was the happiest moment in my life.

Finding out we are having a girl.

Seeing how much dh loves our baby already and the love I feel from him.

    Prenatal massages
    And how helpful everyone is!
  • My first post here. My due date is June 18, and I'm at a little over 18 wks. Had an ultra sound appointment yesterday but was told that it was too early for the full exam, but the highlight was that we found out she was a girl :). I'm also starting to show more obviously. Leg cramps def came. DH has been great!
  • 20 weeks this coming Wednesday!!! DH has felt the baby move so that's fun! We have our a/s on Wednesday. Also we bought our first piece of nursery furniture! I am looking forward to having the summer off with all my kiddos! Yay for June babies and 3 months maternity leave.

  • I will be 20 weeks this coming Friday (6-12 edd)
-After waiting/trying for so long (12+years) the day I POAS and saw the faint pink line was the best feeling ever. I was in the mall bathroom and thought I was going to faint with excitement. Happiest day ever !
-Being able to be lazy and not feel bad.
-DH was awesome to begin with but he has taken it to a whole other level and I am falling in love with him even more. He will not let me get upset. He is always talking to his son and kissing my belly. Everytime he calls me he asks, "What's my boy doing?" :)
-Feeling LO move and kick and listening to his heartbeat.
Is it crazy that even after all those milestones that sometimes it still doesn't feel real?
    *counting down. Yay!

  • The good, bad, and ugly highlights, so far...

    Good -

*seeing my son's heartbeat for the first time... ok... for real, everytime is a thrill!
*watching my husband talk to and read to our unborn son.
*finding out we were having a boy
    *finding out he's healthy
*enjoying family and friends get excited with us (we are older parents... we had put our careers first)
*finding out my son was okay after I fell

    Bad -
    *morning sickness!
*being tired when I wake up, go to work, come home... never seemed to stop in trimester one, and I'm still tired off and on
    *constipation! yuck!
*continual stuffy nose in the second trimester

    Ugly -
*falling at work... hard... on concrete, and then getting to spend 6 hours in the ER waiting to find out that (thank goodness) he's okay.
  • I'm still 2.5 weeks out from halfway but I have been reflecting on my pregnancy over the past week. I have a friend that has not had success in conceiving for a long time and she is absolutely heartbroken. Despite the horrible morning sickness, the headaches, random aches and pains, etc, I am so thankful for the ability to conceive and carry this child and everything that comes with it. It seriously disturbs me that not everyone that wants it gets this experience and that it's not even guaranteed that I will get it again so I am just trying to appreciate every little bit of it during these short 9ish months.
