Hi ladies, I can't believe what's gone on since I took some time off from TB while I learned to manage 2u2. I felt I needed to catch up before re-introing myself. It seems a bit crazy around my other bmb, but I had to laugh when I came back here to the jan13 mamas, you guys were all like, "what's going on? I'd just like to know how to keep my 2yo from falling out of their toddler bed."
I see it both ways, newbies get butthurt when someone flames them for asking a obvious question, but at the same time, this site's been around for a long time, so are there really many topics that haven't already been addressed? Why not get a fresh perspective? I don't agree with the sudden banning, but also this site is a business, and they have the right to refuse service.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, ds2 seems like a unicorn baby compared to ds1. I'm sure having some real experience this time around makes a difference, but the extra sleep and lack of colic makes for a happy, and much more often showered mom this time around. I kept wondering why I didn't feel like I had anytime to check the boards, until I remembered I was always checking the boards during ds1's marathon nursing sessions and several times a night wakings. On the downside, when you have a toddler in dc you're unable to keep the germs away as effectively as the first time around. We've been visited by the norovirus, which thankfully ds2 didn't get, even though I would have to stop nursing him, so I could literally run to the bathroom. Because of this I firmly believe breast milk is the elixir of life. Ds2 did not escape the bad cold dh and ds1 picked up over New Years, and he did have to receive nebulizer treatments. Other than that, I go back to work next week, and I'll remain full time through tax season before we'll reassess whether I may cut down to part time or become a sahm.
So that's my life, how is yours? I believe many of you are probably ready to pop if you haven't already had your second since the last time I was here.
