Sperm analysis screw up

DH is supposed to go in tomorrow morning for his S/A. Last time we had sex was on Sunday night. Monday/Tuesday I was sick and then Wednesday we went to bed at different times. When I first read the instructions awhile back I thought it said to make sure he hasn't ejaculated in the past 2-5 days. So I figured Sunday night to Friday morning would be fine. I just reread the instructions and it says 2-4 days. Crap. So now it will have been 5 days, and I'm worried they won't accept his sample. We could reschedule the appt (and probably pay a late cancel fee) or just have him go in anyway and see what happens. WWYD?

I would do the appointment. If there isn't anything going on on his end my guess is his numbers would be fine. Not worth paying extra. My DH had to redo one because of elevated white blood cells so if it's something like that you would have a redo anyway.

hmm, I just did a quick search. It seems like you could wait up to 10 days. I would say just make sure the doctor knows how long it's been when they give you analysis so that they can take that into account. You could also call the doctor and see what they say. We're also about to do this, so I'm interested to hear what they say.

I wouldn't worry about it. 1 day won't matter overall.

This. I wouldn't want to put off anything in my TTC journey.

I would do it. My RE said 2-7 days, I think, so there's obviously some leeway...

He's the first appt tmrw morning so he's going to just show up and let them know. I had tried calling the office but they close their phones at 4:30! Hopefully it'll work out. Also hoping we don't need the darn thing! lol

I wouldn't worry about it either! Our paperwork also said no less than 2 days since, and no more than 7 days.

Yup they took him. No worries there. He said the porn was terrible and the remote control was broken so he couldn't even fast forward to a good part. lol But he got it done.

I can't even imagine what's on a remote control in a specimen room. I shudder just thinking of it.

My BF had to give his sample for his SA and for our IUI and complained about the selection available both times. His other complaint was about the headphones. Which just cracked me up. Do you really need hi def sound for that?!
