Re: Twin Mommas To Be check in
How are you feeling?
I'm feeling really great for as far along as i am (30 weeks). I have heartburn and hemorrhoids that can get a little annoying but its been manageable. Aside from that, my pubic bone has recently given me some trouble. It keeps feeling like it goes out of place especially when i walk a lot.
Any PTL signs?
So far none that i've noticed
Are you on maternity leave yet?
we found out we were pregnant with two right when we were in the middle of moving to MN so H was in full support of me just staying home since I'll be a stay at home mom when babies come.
Have you received any good advice for twins?
I have a wonderful friend who also had twins and she's been such a great support for me. She gives me lots of helpful advice on things that worked and didn't work for her. I can't think of anything specific off hand...
Has your doctor started talking about L&D differences for twins? If so, what?
Just the usual emphasis on increase risk of c section so they require delivery on the OR just in case. They really encourage an epidural. Id like to try without one but I don't want to be knocked out and miss seeing my babies so I'll probably just get one
How are you feeling?
Tired! All. The . Time. Earlier this week I had two days where I questioned if I would be able to keep working. Turns out it was just my asthma, a cold, and bad air quality bugging me more than pregnancy.
Any PTL signs?
None! Cervix still at 3.5 which is really good from what the doctor says.
Are you on maternity leave yet?
No, I thought about going out early, but I think it was just a readjustment period after vacation in addition to being sick.
Have you received any good advice for twins? If one wakes up to eat, wake the other. That's probably the best. Oh and let them share a crib until they start rolling around (still not sure about this one).
Has your doctor started talking about L&D differences for twins? If so, what?
My doctor is happy they are both head down because he really doesn't want to do a csection since I have extra abdominal fat. They will be delivered in the OR just in case baby B flips after A is out. I want to avoid an epidural unless they have to go csection so I need to check how that works.
He is also making me do weekly Nst's for weeks 32-35 and twice a week for week 36 and after.
Anything else you want to tell us?
Thank you for checking in. I was wanting to know how everyone was doing to reassure myself that it isn't just me. I also feel like my
Doctor is way to cautious sometimes.
