Today has been awful. I really thought I was leaving you guys.

Started spotting yesterday. It turned into bleeding today. No cramps but it wasn't just blood, there was some pieces of lining too. I was sure it was the beginning of a miscarriage. Cried all morning.

Got in for an ultrasound and arrived crying. The receptionist gave me a hug and I just started sobbing. Then the ultrasound tech gave me a hug too and I was just one big hot mess.

Started the ultrasound and low and behold, there was a baby and a heartbeat!!!!! I measured 5wks 5 days.

I have a subchiorionic hematoma. That's what is most likely causing the bleeding. I don't know why there is some lining coming out too.

The dr was a little concerned the heartbeat was low. He said it could indicate I am still going to miscarry. But he said all we can do is wait and see.

My next ultrasound is still next Tuesday unless anything else happens. FX all is well and the hb looks better. FX I make it that far.

I am exhausted.

Edited to correct measurement- I put 6wks 5 days but it was actually 5wks 5 days.

    1 day at a time rest relax and try to stay calm. Prayers and thoughts r with u now. I know first hand what this is like i had a massive bleed last pregnancy at 6.6 weeks and now i have a lovely wee boy (16 months). I had yucky on going bloody stuff for about 10 days after. Praying your outcome is good.

    If it helps to know, I have had subchorionic hematomas pretty frequently. I am currently pregnant with my 8th.  I had them with baby 3, 4, 5 and 6 where I had bleeding to one degree or another, got an ultrasound and was diagnosed with S.H.  This pregnancy I had bleeding for many weeks off and on. It was the first time I had bright red bleeding with some clotting and not been miscarrying...I thought I was mcing on a few occassions.  Well my current dr doesn't see you until you are at least 12 weeks so I never had an ultrasound or anything to know it was a S.H. but I can assume it was I guess.  My last bleeding was during week 11.  We were on vacation for 2 weeks during my 12-13 week.  Then the holidays came and my dr office was closed so my first appointment was when I was a day short of 16 weeks.  She did not do an ultrasound or anything. 

    My other pregnancies with S.H. were otherwise uneventful.  I bled a different number of times during the various pregnancies.  SOme it was just once and thing brown blood, with my first S.H. I had one incidence where I literally poured this thick nearly black red blood that soaked my pants.  I was in hysterics!  I think I was 15 weeks when that happened.  That was the latest I had bleeding in any pregnancy too. 

    Like I said, once that bleeding resolved, everything was perfect in my pregnancies.  I had totally healthy babies (and quite large. My largest was a healthy 11 lbs even the rest were in the 9 and 10 plus pound range).

    Oh no, how stressful! I hope you can get some rest and that the bleeding stops very soon. It sounds like you have a good medical team at your clinic. Crossing fingers for some great news on Tuesday.

    Thank you so much everyone! It helps to hear your experiences and success stories!!! I am going to try to take it easy, as much as I can with a 1 yr old, and I will do my best to stay positive!

    Did any of you have babies that started out with a slow heart rate?

    Lots of hugs and prayers to you. It's really encouraging that they were able to see a heartbeat today!  I really hope things continue to go well. I know how devastating it is. I had SCH with my daughter but it just went away on it's own. My HR doc did tell me that I may bleed because of it. I never did but they said that a lot of women do.

    Sorry you had such a stressful day. I completely understand the stress and the worry. It's good you have a reason for the bleeding. And it's great that they are being proactive about monitoring the SH. I'll say a pray for your baby. I hope you get good news at your follow up sono.

    I have had a SH with all but 1 of my pgs. The one I had with this pg was by far the worst. Even grew from 1cm to 3cm. Bled the most. Had clots. Made me into a basket case and sent me to the er with the amount of bleeding. I am now almost 23 weeks and everything is looking good. I have everything crossed for you.

    I'm so sorry you're going though this, but also very glad that you had a heartbeat.  Thoughts and prayers that the LO sticks in there and your next U/S goes well.

    ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
    Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive.  Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

    DE IVF #1 (4/26) BFN  DE FET #1 (6/4) BFP! Beta 1=339 Beta 2=852 Beta 3=9957 EDD 2/22/15!!
