Can someone help a newbie?

Don't seem to be getting any help from a couple of the other boards..bmaybe someone here offer advice.

Hi there..wondering if you could help...

I triggered 7 days ago on a follistim cycle.

I had a 15mm and a 21 mm follicle. The day before I triggered my E2 was 350 and I had a 16mm and two 14mms. The morning of trigger is when they saw a 21 and a 15mm but my E2 went to 311.

The Dr doing the IUI said she only thinks the 21 mm will release but was a little concerned that the E2 dropped becuas eit could mean egg quality. Does that mean the 21mm could be a bad egg or more likely the 15mm is not mature enough?

The first Dr sounded so negative and kind of not hopeful but the second IUI (do back to back) that Dr didn't seem concerned and explained to me that it is only one part of a big picture adn they could never be sure.

The nurse said the dip could mean so many things...one of the other follies shrunk down that never grew big, I was already starting to ramp up for the ovulation process or egg quality and they can't tell for sure.

Feeling discouraged...like I don't have a chance. Any thoughts?

BTW my lining was 12.

First of all, congrats on a great lining!

I don't know enough about E2 to give a good opinion on it. But if it were me, I'd be pretty confident that the 21mm was in great shape and others (maybe the second 14mm?) just dropped back. With an E2 of 300+, at least one mature-size follie, and a cushy lining, your chances should be pretty good! (Though of course lower than having multiple mature follies.)

I was thinking that it could me the one 14 dropped because the day before trigger there were three..two 14 and one 16. Day of trigger (when E2 slightly dipped) I had the 21 and then a 15. So the nurse did say it could be one of the smaller ones dropped down and shrunk.

Do you think the 15 would release also or by those numbers the 21 probably only released?

The first Dr doing the first IUI seemed so negative to me about it but the Dr doing the second IUI (I do back to back) seemed to not have any concerns and explained that you can't put too much stock into just one test in a big picture of things.

Welcome and glad you found us. that's a great lining number so yay! I'm in agreement with you and PP. I think that he E2 level dropped because the one 14mm follie shrunk from the previous draw. As far as what was released, honestly I think only the 21 mm released based on the numbers. The 15 was on the small side to release. Not sure that helped at all...

The first doc was probably negative since the goal is to have more than one follie, but I honestly think that your chances are still good since you have one good size and a good measurement for the lining. FX for you!

I agree with PP. There's is some drama going on with TB now so don't take it personally that people aren't responding like normal on here. I would say that the 21 was mature and your lining was great. I think the 15 probably is not mature enough. Good luck!

My Beta is on the 24th but I am starting to feel that icky AF feeling already..feeling a bit hopeless.

BTW My husbands sperm count was a combined wash of 40mil.
