1. How many weeks? What fruit, veggie or random object? 33 weeks, durian fruit, whatever the hell that is.
2. Current AWs? I can't think of anything off the top of my head right now. This weekend will be dedicated to getting the nursery together, so hopefully I'll be able to share some pictures soon!
3. Current whines? My DD is going through a terrible phase of the worst temper tantrums I have ever seen from her. Everything is setting her off. Things she normally enjoys (like bathtime), causes the biggest blow up, complete with screaming, hair pulling, flailing on the floor. I hope this passes soon.
4. Any upcoming apts? Not until next week
5. GTKY: Are you craving anything right now? MILK! I want milk so bad all the time.
1. How many weeks? What fruit, veggie or random object? 33 weeks, a durian fruit... Not quite sure what it is, I'm off to google it...
2. Current AWs? None that I can think of off the top of my head... If I think of one later I'll post it.
3. Current whines? Hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoids are the worst. Also, NBR but I was wearing this super cute, super warm off white sweater this morning, and I lasted about an hour in it before I spilled hot chocolate on it. So I gave up on looking cute and now I'm just wearing a hoodie, jeans, and my moccasins.
4. Any upcoming apts? January 26 is my next appointment, I believe. Just had one on Monday.
5. GTKY: Are you craving anything right now? Chocolate, and ice cream. And chocolate ice cream.
For us 33 weekers (and future reference for anyone else):
"Thedurian(/ˈdjʊriən/)[2]is the fruit of several treespeciesbelonging to thegenusDurio. There are 30 recognisedDuriospecies, at least nine of which produce edible fruit.Durio zibethinusis the only species available in the international market: other species are sold in their local regions.
Regarded by many people in southeast Asia as the "king of fruits",[3] the durian is distinctive for its large size, strong odour, and formidable thorn-covered husk. The fruit can grow as large as 30 centimetres (12 in) long and 15 centimetres (6 in) in diameter, and it typically weighs one to three kilograms (2 to 7 lb). Its shape ranges from oblong to round, the colour of its husk green to brown, and its flesh pale yellow to red, depending on the species.
The edible flesh emits a distinctive odour that is strong and penetrating even when the husk is intact. Some people regard the durian as having a pleasantly sweet fragrance; others find the aroma overpowering and revolting. The smell evokes reactions from deep appreciation to intense disgust, and has been described variously as rotten onions, turpentine, and raw sewage. The persistence of its odour has led to the fruit's banishment from certain hotels and public transportation in Southeast Asia.
The durian, native to Southeast Asia, has been known to the Western world for about 600 years. The nineteenth-century British naturalistAlfred Russel Wallace described its flesh as "a rich custard highly flavoured with almonds". The flesh can be consumed at various stages of ripeness, and it is used to flavour a wide variety of savoury and sweet edibles in Southeast Asian cuisines. The seeds can also be eaten when cooked."
1. How many weeks? What fruit, veggie or random object?
Durian! Which I can say from personal experience smells like rotten feet. Tastes ok but smells terrible. When DH and I were travelling in Asia they won't even let you take is as carry-on: it has to be checked baggage bc of the smell.
2. Current AWs?
Teaching senior English today one of my students saw the baby move. He freaked out. Very funny to me.
3. Current whines?
Generally uncomfortable. Want to sleep more than 2-3 hours at a time. Tired of people sharing horror stories or warning me about all I'm giving up by having a baby (sleep, freedom etc).
4. Any upcoming apts?
Tomorrow afternoon. Hoping baby is still head down and progressing as he should be.
5. GTKY: Are you craving anything right now?
So much dairy. Cinnamon toast crunch with lots of ice cold milk. Dipped comes from Dairy Queen, sundaes, Greek yogurt.
1. How many weeks? What fruit, veggie or random object? 30 weeks- cucumber
2. Current AWs? got to see DD on Ultrasound yesterday- it was cool to see how much she has grown.
3. Current whines? when my DH put in our new bed, he (for who knows why) decided to not put it on the frame. So yes, my 30 week prego butt is rolling in and out of a LOW bed. We move in 2 weeks so once we do he is going to put the damn frame on. Until then I am definitely struggling!
4. Any upcoming apts? I have an appt in 2 weeks. Also waiting to hear back on an appt with a specialist.
5. GTKY: Are you craving anything right now? I like pasta normally, but not to the point that I am now. I want spaghetti, lasagna, mac n cheese, etc every. single. day.
