Re: Diaper size?

  • Wanted to post a cloth option, but I don't know enough about cloth and the sizing.
  • Loading the player...
  • We cloth diaper, but we have a massive box of disposable size 4 leftover from DS1 so lately for small weekend trips we just use those instead
  • It is funny you post this because recently people were saying they were in size 4's and I was all "whaaaa???? my LO who is 95th % is only in 3s."  Two weeks ago we bought a box of 4s and now I can't imagine how we were just recently jamming her in 3's.  I almost feel like we need to go up to 5's.

  • We went straight from 1's to 3's two weeks ago

  • DD is a shrimp, she still easily fits in 2s. She also still fits in her 6mo outfits :-)

  • It's amazing how different these babies are! LO is in size 3 during the day and 4 at night, but I'm thinking once the 3s are used up I'm just going to move on to 4 since they fit.
  • DD just went to 3's and her 3-6 clothes still fit her great.
  • LO has been in 3s for what seems like months. Lots of room in them still...

  • Still easily in size 2, but she's a peanut. She may weigh about 16lbs, and she also fits in all her 6 month clothing, and up until a few weeks ago, some 0-3 onesies. I just washed her 9m clothing and started having her wear some of it, but she has plenty of room to grow

  • My 9 month old is in size 3 and my 2 and a half year old is in size 4.
  • We only use sposies at night. DD is skinny, barely fifteen pounds, but we are in threes. DH put DD in a 2 last night, I don't even know where he found it, and we had a huge pee leak! I think she has to have the 3s for length.

My 2.5 is in size 6's
  • We are in 4s and 12mo clothing. I think he's pushing 20/21lbs.

How much does your LO weigh and how long?

I have a small pack of Size 4's so I can start the switch at night eventually. I may try one out tonight and then change my Amazon subscription if they fit ok. I don't want to get stuck with a huge box of too small diapers.

He's about 23lbs and 29ish inches. I had two blowouts the other day with size threes, but what confuses me is they say "up to" 28lbs. He's not mobile yet.

I voted SS because we cloth and haven't used a disposable in a few months, so I'm not sure his current size. He was in 3s before, but I'm guessing 4s now? He was 22lbs and 28.5 inches at 6 months (9 month appt next week)

  • @TallTrees -

My LO is about 18lbs and 29 inches at his last check up about 3 weeks ago. But we've been in Size 3's for awhile. I swear it's already time to move the jumperoo up to it's last level. We did have an almost explosion the other night but I think that's because I fed him apple/prune puree and he has become so active. So far I like Cruisers and they don't have a weird smell. We do still have some Sensitive Swaddlers, but I'm looking for a cheaper deal now that his skin isn't so sensitive.
We use the Costco Kirkland brand and love them- they're the best deal I've found, comes out to $0.15 per diaper.
  • We normally use cloth, but used disposables on our last trip. DS1 is in size 4s, so I used those on DS2 and they worked. We're completely unsnapped on OS Blueberries.

We potty trained DD when she turned 2. She was wearing size 4 diapers at the time. This LO started wearing his sister's leftover size 4 diapers at 8 months. I am amazed by this!
  • 3s but I might try 4s since she is so tall (only 16 lbs.... Maybe)
  • 3s but 4s for bed as he leaks through
  • Natalie has been having poop shoot up her back almost every. Single. Time.
I have never had this problem with my other two.
It doesn't matter what brand of diapers. It still happens. Huggies Pampers Target and parents choice. Getting pretty tired of pre washing her poopy clothes.
Like I said. Never had this issue before. Is it a size problem? She's in 3s

  • Pampers 3 still at 9 months. She's pretty slim and petite so I don't anticipate a swap to 4 anytime soon
  • 4s here she's only 18 lbs so they are a little big. But they do their job.
