  • I'm so sorry, I have never had experience with hemmorhoids, I have heard that "a tip" may cause more pain for hemorrhoids though....

  • In early December I had an external thrombosed hemmoroid, meaning it was on the outside and the blood had clotted in it. It was so painful I could barely walk and I ended up having the clot removed. Recovery was awful for a couple days but now I have no symptoms of it. My point is, depending on the type, there are things you can do. I am now taking stool softener every day (Metamucil but you can also use Colase) to help prevent more problems. My doctor mentioned that there were several at home things you could do that sometimes made them go away, so if you Google it I bet you will find some options.

The pregnancy may be over soon but the hemorrhoids don't just disappear, especially after pushing a baby out.

  • Doctor proscribed me hydrocortisone cream and suppositories. Seems to be helping!
  • Witch hazel will do wonders! And if it's bad and doesn't go away, ask your md about Rectal Rocket. Yes, that's a real thing! It is a suppository and I hear it is amazing.
  • Thank you so much!!
  • Tucks pads...keep in fridge and place in underware near backside. Midwife recommended after my first baby..now on third in fridge ready to go .
  • Not sure if others mentioned why you might have them. You don't just get them from constipation during pregnancy. The extra weight and pressure your uterus, baby and everything else can cause them as well. After birth they will probably be worse from pushing a human out of your vagina. But at some point they should clear up.
