Progesterone Levels

I had blood work done today to test my progesterone level 4 days past IUI. My level came back as 23.

Does anyone have experience with this? What were your levels? The nurse didn't say too much to me besides that the level was good and I don't need to take progesterone.


Me: 36 DH: 33  DD:2

PCOS diagnosis February, 2011
Clomid - 50 mg + Met June & July 2011 - BFN
Clomid - 100 mg + Met September 2011 - BFN
Clomid - 150 mg + Met Oct & Nov 2011 - +OPK - BFN
HSG - clear S/A - normal
IUI #1 - Clomid 150 mg/Ovidrel/Met - February, 2012 - BFN
IUI #2 - Clomid 150 mg/Ovidrel/Met - March, 2012 - BFP!!!  EDD 11/29/12

Daughter born on 11/6/12

 

TTC #2 since 5/14

9/14 - D&C / Hysteroscopy

11/14 - Met / Clomid 100 mg - BFN

12/14 - Met / Clomid 100 mg / Ovidrel / Acupuncture - BFN

1/15 - Met / Clomid 100 mg / Ovidrel - IUI #1 - ???

    I want to say my dr wanted anything above 15 w clomid.

    TTC#3

     Stopped preventing when DS was 6 months old (4/13), really started TTC 10/13
    Started clomid July 2014, 3 failed rounds of clomid w OB (low pro on CD 21) sent to RE

    HSG and blood work all good
    round 1: clomid and trigger shot~BFN
    round 2: clomid, trigger and IUI~BFN
    round 3: clomid, trigger and IUI +4 booster HCG~NOPE

    On a break!!! Til April/May 

    round 4:clomid, trigger (missed IUI window) NO fricking way BFP

    I've been told anything above 15 on meds, as well. I'm curious why they did it 4dpo instead if the normal 7dpo?

    Two DDs 10/08 and 08/10, no primary IF
    TTC #3 since 10/2011 - dx unexplained/weak ovulation
     3 BFN clomid + TI cycles, 5 BFN clomid/gonal f IUIs, 1 mmc IUI
    2/19/2014 IVF #1 Unexpected low E2 (oversuppressed) -> increased to max doses = 3 or 4 follicles, converting to IUI
    BFFP Saw 1 beautiful heartbeat at 6w6d, follow up u/s at 9w showed mmc. Eff this.
    NTNP 5/2014-9/2014, OPKs and TI 10/2014 - 1/2015. 
    RPL testing all normal, AFC, AMH, and FSH all normal. 
    IVF 1.2 1/22/2014 natural cycle start, AFC 28, 300 gonal f/150menopur. 
    ER 2/3/15 14R 8M 3F w/ICSI Day 5 transfer on 2/8/15 of one "Grade A+" blast and have TWO frosties!

    It's weird they did it so early, like the brilliant Jen brought up, but I agree. >15 on meds is what they want to see! I feel like if they had done it 7 days post iui like the rest of the world, it would be even higher. This means stronger ovulation, even ovulation of two follicles once you get into the high 30s.

    @‌ fuzzbumble. At my u/s, the day before my IUI, I did have 4 potential follicles larger than 20, which could explain the high progesterone level?? When I ovulated, it was extremely painful.

    I guess I'll just have to wait till next week to find out. I hate the 2WW.

    Definitely good like the other ladies said! Are you having another draw to test levels later? I know my old OB tested a couple of times to see a trend.

    @lilmac2929 I don't go back to the RE until 14 dpo for a pregnancy test.

    I went back and looked from when I got pregnant with my DD with an IUI and as soon as I got a BFP, I went back to test my betas every 2 days along with ultrasounds,

    My RE tests 4 days post also. Mine was 14.7 and they told me anything over 10 is good. There is no set number they are looking for but like it above 10.
