Success after IF

Intro ... can't believe I'm thinking about another baby (long, sorry)

I've been around TB awhile, lately on Multiples although I came up through TTC 35+, and briefly IF. I thought I should intro here since I am kinda sorta toying with the possibility of maybe considering a FET with one of our remaining embryos.

My history: I had a son in 2008, conceived naturally, and he passed away (suddenly and unexpectedly) in 2010 just before his 2nd birthday. I don't talk about it on the boards due to privacy concerns (and we are very well supported IRL). At the time DS died, we had been TTC #2 for about 6 months. We took a break, for obvious reasons, and then started trying again but with no luck despite various interventions ranging from extreme woo woo (vaginal acupressure anyone?) to oral meds/IUI. Eventually, in Jan. 2012 we went in for an IVF consult and we were told that we had a less than 2% chance of conceiving with my OE due to failing the CCCT. We were absolutely gutted, but sought a 2nd opinion (with the encouragement of a few awesome ladies on TTC 35+) and within 1 month I was pregnant with twins after our first IVF using my OE. They were born nearly full term and healthy in Nov. 2012. To our astonishment, we have 3 high quality frozen embryos from the same cycle.

I would not consider trying for another if it weren't for these frozen embryos. I'm 39, and I don't think my DH wants more kids, although he hasn't said so definitively. He knows that I do and has told me that he hasn't closed the door completely. I could probably talk him into it but it's important to me that he comes to the decision on his own, and frankly I'm just not willing to fight that hard for it, as much as I would grieve if he did say no. We have been through so much, and we are just hitting our stride with our twins and starting to be able to get out, travel, etc.

So that's where I'm at. My theoretical FET wouldn't happen until Oct. due to work/family/travel obligations so I have some time to continue mulling this over. Sorry this is so long. Looking forward to joining you ladies!
