Kyler and Kinley Are Home!

I'm only 6 days late with this update by our baby girls were discharged last Wednesday, 1/7/15 after 20 days in the NICU!! They were a day shy of 3 weeks old and 34w5d old gestational. Everyone is so excited to have them home. As of their most current weight check this morning at the pediatrician, Kyler is up a pound since birth (now 4lb11oz) and Kinley is up one pound and an ounce (now 5lbs even). DH went back to work yesterday so I'm learning to handle them working on little sleep, but I wouldn't trade in my exhaustion for the world!! Their doctor says she's shocked they were born so early and are doing so well, they are behaving like full term babies in all ways, just in miniature size. :-)

Anyway, here are our beautiful girls!! Kinley on the left, Kyler on the right.

  • They are beautiful! I think it's funny our babies were due so close together and we BOTH had them at around the same time with very similar outcomes! Welcome home little ones! Your mommy is my current inspiration that when my boys come home, I will find a way to make it all work!

    10 medicated IUI's (3 with injectables).
IUI #1 (medicated) Jan. 2013-BFP!!!!- Beta's didn't double, MTX shot for possible ectopic.
    8 IUI's between April 13-April 14 = BFN
IUI #10 and final before IVF, injectables May 2014- BFP!!!!  TWINS!!!!

7 week ultrasound showed 2 wonderful heartbeats!
8 weeks to the ER with vaginal bleeding while on vacations!  Diagnosed SubChorionic Hemorrhage.  Babies are both great.
9 week ultrasound showed both babies are still great.

  • Congratulations!!  The first few weeks at home are tough...I felt like it was the movie Groundhog Day only instead of the same 24 hours repeating, it was in 3 hours as it was the same thing, feed, pump, sleep and start all over again!

I agree would not change it for the world...enjoy them being little...it flies by!  My babies are almost 8 months old and I have no clue how that happened so quickly!

IVF #3: ER 12/1 and only 2 retrieved.  1 fertilized with ICSI.  Was planning on transferring one fresh and one frozen....fresh was only 14 cells at day 5...CANCELLED and devastated due to 5cm blood filled cyst in ovary and blood in uterus.
IVF #4: Antagonist protocol with endometrial scratch day one of stims.  ER 4/21: 6R/4M/3F- transferred 2 beautiful blasts (5dt) and one was hatching!  No frosties but hoping we won't need it!  Beta 5/4/14- 444(8dp5dt), Beta #2 10dp5dt 1002!  THIS HAS GOT TO BE IT!!!!!!!!!!  First US 5/15 we saw two of the most beautiful gestational and yolk sacs I have ever seen!
