  You know how in like old war movies there are the couple of soldiers that stay behind with the rubble playing poker, drinking beer and smoking cigarettes and always break the news of "what happened here" to passers by?

  I don't know. Parenting is kicking my ass so hard this week I really don't have the energy to GAF. I know I am not going to check here, FB, and the site that shall not be named. I'll just wait and see.

  Blah, I've been on the knot, best, bump for 10 years. This happens every time they make a big change to format or TOU. There was a huge blow up on the Nest and tons of people left from the snarkiest board - "married life" a few years ago which was unfortunate.
  
  I don't know why people get so stressed out. It's a message board for gods sake.

  It's more about the massive, un-warranted banning than the new TOU.

  I understand the anger and for those who have invested so much I get how hard it must be to say goodbye and you will be missed, but I just don't care enough to leave and I need something to do on the commute so...

  Actually most of The Nest left. It started with P&CE and ML and sort of migrated from there. TN screwed up big time - if you look through P&CE, ML, Money Matters, Green Living etc - or really any of the other formerly robust and thriving communities, they have become shells of themselves. P&CE is mostly a bunch of posts from a moronic birther these days.
  
  After that all happened, XO Comm hosted events to try and get everyone to come back and to figure out the biggest grievances the users had with the forums. Obviously, all of that was lip service given that they are cleaning house in, yet again, ways that violate their own TOU and basic forum etiquette the world over.
  
  And, FWIW, Proboards has become an AWESOME place to host all of the old boards. There's no vague TOU, the site admins actually respond, and ProBoards has won awards for best forum hosting. Not that I'm advocating anything one way or the other, but the community is the people, not the URL.

  I'll just say it would be a bummer to lose this board after losing so many other cool boards on here. I miss a lot of the girls from the nest boards back in like 05-06 (glitter pumpkins forever) and of course everyone who left SAIF a few years back.
  
  Remember when this board was full of 1D fans and they called it South Beach? It's been a long journey N13ers.

  I'm sad about this guys! I didn't get to up in arms last night because I"m not really involved in parenting (not that I don't think what happened to them was bullshit) but I was hoping it would pass our little board over! I'm over on FB, but it feels a little chaotic to me…. not as smooth as here. And I don't know if I want to take the time to figure out a new forum. Can everyone come back here to play please?

  I'm still here, been wading through all the posts since last night. I have lurked N13 since I peed on the stick almost two years ago and just now started posting.. But I seriously have enjoyed learning from you all, laughing alongside, and hurting for some even before you knew I was here. The community you built is so strong and I will keep on here as long as it's alive!
