Too much solids, not enough BM?

my lo will be 10 months tomorrow. I send pumped bottles of milk to dc but he also eats solids there, fruits and veggies usually . Lately he has been eating more solids and not as much breast milk at dc. I'm a little concerned because isn't food before one just for fun? He only had 3oz total today at daycare. Though I suppose he gets plenty of BM in the evenings and at night...I guess I'm basically just looking for reassurance that this is ok or wondering if I should talk to his teachers. If anyone has any advice or experience to share I would appreciate it. Ty!

Re: Too much solids, not enough BM?

  • That's a great question and I'm sorry I don't have an answer for you. (I know, I'm no help >.<)  My LO is only a few weeks older than yours and he just had a day like that last week, drinking only 3-4ish ounces during the day while I was at work.  He's drank more since then but his ounces definitely decreases during the day when he's eating more solids (he's not always consistent).  I'm guessing it's to be expected...Sorry this probably wasn't the help you're looking for but I just wanted you to know you're not alone!
