Babysitting rate

Hi ladies!!

I'm sure this has been asked before, but what is the going rate these days? It would be for just the babies as I would send my older DD to grandmas that day. It would probably just be a few hours. When it was just our DD, we would pay her $10 an hour. I don't even know if that was correct. Plus gas money as she had to drive a ways.

TTC for 1.5 years with a crappy RE. 12 cycles with clomid (11 too many)
New RE, 3 failed IUI's moving to IVF with ICSI
IVF#1 BFP EDD 1/10/13
Beta#1 51  Beta #2 148
A/S 8/20/13 Team Pink
Induced week 39 due to severe GD
Baby girl born 1/4/13

       TTC #2 2 failed IUI's moving on to FET 3/2014
ET 3/25

    I think it will depend greatly on your area of the country, but $10-15 is standard here (north GA).

    I pay at least $20/hour in the suburbs of NYC

    D & L are here at 34 weeks 4 days by vaginal and breech delivery on 11/19/2013
    Two healthy boys weighing 4 lbs 15 ozs and 4 lbs 5 ozs.  Only 6 days in the NICU and getting bigger, stronger and cuter every day!

    We pay our babysitters $12/hour for our twins. I have no idea where that falls within the range. We're in a MCOL area in the mid-west.

    We just hired one and will be paying her $15. This is in austin texas.

    Depends on a lot of things - time of day, sitter's age and experience, going rates of your area etc. I pay my sister on days I work. She watches them at her home (she has 4 kids ages 5-13) and she charges me $50 for a full day (5 hr or more) and $25 for anything less. A teen next door occasionally sits for short periods for me to do errands and I pay her $5/hr
