2nd Trimester

sit n' stand question (cross posted on baby gear board)

Baby 2 will be here in June and DS1 turns 3 in June as well. I want to be able to get out of the house more as DS is really active and likes to do things, but as I will me on my own a lot was considering buying a sit n stand. DS likes to ride, but gets in and out of our stroller a lot now as it is, and I just can't see buying a "traditional" double stroller.

Anyone use one?

Pros/Cons?

TIA!

Re: sit n' stand question (cross posted on baby gear board)

  • At her daycare, my DD uses the "stand" part and loves it. I'm thinking of getting one myself, although she'll be 4 when the baby gets here, so maybe she won't really need it anymore

  • My sister uses one and loves it! Her son doesn't sit still in a regular stroller but he loves standing and even enjoys sitting in the sit n' stand
  • We have one. It's not good for walks around the neighborhood. But I take it to the mall and have he option of strapping both kids if I have something I need to do. I use mine a decent amount.

When DS was new though I mainly wore him and put DD in a regular stroller. She didn't use a stroller much before that but it was necessary.
  • I had a Joovy Ergo Caboose (their biggest sit n stand model) and it was too big, too hard to push and steer.  Get a smaller model!

  • My daughter will be 22 months when I have this baby, she is extremely active so I'm considering a sit and stand. Do y'all think that's too much freedom for as two year old? Will I regret it?!
  • I am having this issue as well my DD will be just shy of 3 so not sure what I am going to do I just dont want her getting in and out and running off especially at the mall
