Travel to Dominican Republic with Breast Pump/Milk

Hi Everyone!  I was hoping someone could help me with some info.  I'm going to Punta Cana in a few days and DS is staying home.  I plan to take my pump with me and bring expressed milk home with me on the plane.  Has anyone been to the Domincan Republic with the same situation?  I'm not so much concerned about traveling from the US with the pump, I'm more concerned about the return trip with the milk.  Can anyone give me some insight?

Re: Travel to Dominican Republic with Breast Pump/Milk

  • We travel to the Carribean each year and bring a lot of food with us. We freeze the food (meats) prior to going and just pack it in our luggage. By the time we get to our destination (usually 8 hours) the items are still completely frozen. Because luggage is kept in the bottom of the plane it stays very cold. I would think it would be easier to freeze the BM while on vacation and then pack in your luggage to fly home. Then you wouldn't have to worry about how many days it has been in the fridge either.
    Have fun!
