Help Penis Emergency!

So DS has had a small red rash on the underside of his penis for about a day..nbd I was just letting it heal on its own. well as I was changing him just now he reached down and grabbed it and his little nails cut it right where the rash is! ((( now the whole underside is bright red and the little cut is bleeding. Wth should I do? are there even any creams I could put on his little weiner? I feel so bad:(

Oh no poor kiddo! I would maybe just wash it with warmer water and apply diaper rash cream? I don't think you could do any antibiotics..

I would just wash it and maybe put some ointment or jelly on it to protect the rash from getting worse.

Vaseline would probably be fine. You just need something to act as a barrier.

Cloth diaper or disposable? For cloth, don't use Vaseline. My son did this exact thing a while back. We did a little air time until the bleeding actually stopped and there was a bit of a scab (and cleaned up a leaky pee in the process, sorry). Then, I dabbed a bit of goopy diaper cream on it (I use Angel Babies Bottom Balm). For the next 24 hours, I made really sure to keep him in dry diapers and when he pooed, I rinsed him in the bathtub instead of using wipes. I didn't want to rub the scab off. He healed up just fine.
