Why will you be having/thinking about a c-section this time? This will be my third one, and my practice/hospital do not do VBACs after 2 c-sections (not that I really want one anyway).
What is currently your biggest worry? I'd really like to have 4-5 kids, and I'm worried that this time they will tell me my uterus isn't strong enough for a fourth pregnancy.
Do you have a preferred date to deliver baby? April 2nd, so I can be home for Easter, but not have the baby on April Fool's Day.
GTKY: What's your current favorite show or book? I really enjoy Project Runway, I love seeing how people design for a challenge (I do graphic design, so its neat to see in another medium).
Why will you be having/thinking about a c-section this time?
I'm currently debating on having one because of what happened with my son last time. My first labor with my son was very long and intense (36 hours) that resulted in shoulder dystocia but a vaginal delivery. Also when I was dilating one of the sides didn't open fully.
Also currently I have a low lying placenta as well.
What is currently your biggest worry?
Currently my biggest worry is that if I have a vaginal delivery again the same thing will happen and I'll be forced to have a c-section. Then all the pain would have been for nothing, Also, that I wont fully dilate properly.
Do you have a preferred date to deliver baby?
Yeah I would prefer my due date to deliver the baby, because the the baby (team green) would be pushed back away from my first child's birthday and we wouldn't celebrate them together.
My sons birthday is April 10th and this baby is due April 28th.
GTKY: What's your current favorite show or book?
My favorite show right now is Vampire Diaries and book right now would be Persuasion by Jane Austin.
Why will you be having/thinking about a c-section this time? My doctor thinks it may be the safest way for little guy to be born due to the accessory lobe that grew with the placenta. I have an ultrasound on Thursday to get the final decision.
What is currently your biggest worry? Do you have a preferred date to deliver baby? This is my first baby, so the whole process kind of worries me. No preferred date really since it will most likely be the last week of March. If they let me wait until April 3rd he would share his grandpas birthday.
GTKY: What's your current favorite show or book?
Currently rewatching every season of friends on netflix.
This will be my 3rd c-section. My doctor did give me the choice to VBA2C, but honestly I have no desire. The thought of going through labor to end up with a c-section isn't worth it to me.
My biggest worry is having healthcare professionals I've never been through this with. We have 2 hospitals in town and my last was delivered at hospital A. My husband now works for hospital B, so I will deliver there. I hope the experience is just as good!
It's pretty much planned for April 21st, one week before my due date. My doctor is scheduled already to be on call.
My favorite show is Bachelor (hangs head in shame). I feel especially invested in this season because I grew up in Iowa - dumb reason I know! Plus, where do they find all this crazy?
Why will you be having/thinking about a c-section this time?
I will be having a scheduled c-section this time. I had one with DS (who was Frank breach), and with twins, my OB would have recommended anyway, Baby A is already breach, so there you go.
What is currently your biggest worry?
About the c-section? BP dropping. I have low BP to start with and with DS my BP dropped dangerously low a few times during the procedure.
Do you have a preferred date to deliver baby?
As late as possible. With twins, my goal is to get to 38 weeks... 36 weeks minimum.
GTKY: What's your current favorite show or book?
Big Bang Theory is my favorite show. Hands down. I'm a nerd girl myself (data geek working as a technical business analyst, married to an aerospace engineer). I can relate to every character in the show to myself, DH, or someone I work with.
Married September 2005 - TEAM PINK x2 this time around
I am having one due to some very traumatic events that happened to me years ago so the thought of a vaginal delivery causes me a severe feeling of violation and panic.
I don't have much in the way of concerns or worries about the actual C-section or recovery. I think I feel much calmer knowing it's all planned out with my OB. I do fear going into an early labor and being forced to deliver vaginally. I do hope like any other time I have had surgery, that I am back to normal quickly. Most of my fears all revolve around trying not to feel overwhelmed once she gets here.
We are planning on April 3rd. So just over 39 weeks. Hopefully the short cervix issues that we found out about last week won't cause her to come early.
GTKY: I do like Vampire Diaries and the Originals for TV shows, we don't watch much TV. I love reading, but I can't narrow down a favorite book, I have sooo many books, and I reread them all the time.

Nice to get to know you all! For those of you who have toddlers, what I found that helped me last time was teaching my son to get in and out of his car seat, and up and down stairs by himself. I also had nap mats in our living room, so if the kids fell asleep in the car I didn't have to carry them for too long. Some of the other third+ time moms might have some ideas too.
Why will you be having/thinking about a c-section this time? Had 2 already. This will be #3. Also have GD and am high risk, so I will need to deliver at 39 weeks.
What is currently your biggest worry? Just tested positive for urine in my protein. Did a 24 hour urine and bloodwork today. Waiting on results.
Do you have a preferred date to deliver baby? I set my maternity leave to start on the 27th of March, so anytime after that is good.
GTKY: What's your current favorite show or book? I guess I would say The Walking Dead is my most favorite show. I am not currently reading anything. But my favorite book ever is Outlander by Diana Gabaldon which is also a new tv series on Starz.
Baby #1: EDD: 5/31/08 DD born sleeping due to severe preeclampsia at 22 weeks 1/26/08
Why will you be having/thinking about a c-section this time? My last baby was close to 10lbs, it cause some sufficant tearing, my OB suggested with this LO already measuring 2 weeks ahead it would be best to schedule in a C-section at 39 weeks. She spoke about this at my last appointment, and with a growth scan this week confirming in fact he is a bigger baby, she went ahead and booked me in.
What is currently your biggest worry? I have never had a C-section, both my DD's were vaginal births. Im really unsure what to expect, from the procedure, to the recovery. I have been reading up, and watching some video's in trying to prepare.
Do you have a preferred date to deliver baby? My OB booked me in for April 6th, so unless anything changes thats my son's birthday. (Yikes)
GTKY: What's your current favorite show or book? Im currently watching "Call the midwife" Im only on season 1 so it should keep me busy for the next 12 weeks.
@taahira I love Call the Midwife! Personally I had "easy" recoveries both times, the key is to take your pain meds and get up and walk as much as you can.
ladies, due to the changes at the Bump, I will likely not be on here very much, but hope to continue this thread on different boards. feel free to pm if you need a link to find those of us who are leaving. unfortunate this thread starts on the day the bump goes haywire.
