TTC After a Loss

Reminder - this is a loss board (we do not need to give warnings for losses)

Hey ladies! I think it's awesome so many want to keep this community safe but you really do not need to put a warning in a thread title that you are mentioning a loss.

Think about it - loss is in our name.

Most thread titles let a person know what the general gist of a post is going to be about.  People expect an intro to include a mention of the person's loss history. This also goes to questions about TTCAL things. For example, if I saw a post titled "Questions about my D&C", I would rationally and reasonably expect the OP for that post to mention not only their D&C but their loss. A warning that loss is mentioned is unnecessary.

If for some reason the OP feels like they need to go into graphic detail on their loss and there is worry about possible triggers then I think stating in the body of their post that they are going to go into graphic detail is enough - but I also think the OP should really figure out if they need to go into graphic detail if they are that worried it will traumatize those reading their post.

Just remember that over warning makes the board an incredibly unpleasant place for many of us and produces its own anxiety and stress when you see ****warning**** . We have had long time supportive members leave because of the feeling that the board was no longer "safe" because a vast majority of the posts had "warning" in their titles.

@petrastonegirl You do have a way with words :)

Hope you feel better, sorry it's pneumonia.
I am not sure how to say this without getting a "solicitation" warning so I guess I just say that I am not longer active on THIS site.

Feel better soon @PetraStonegirl‌ ! Discussing the loss of a child is always tough on a mother, for many reasons. I'm glad that, here at least, shame is not one of those reasons.

@bluedaisy0627, just ((hugs)) your way - @buggirl72 said it best, that's just ridiculous.

@petrastonegirl, beautifully said!!! I held my head up a little higher after reading that. Hope you feel better soon! Pneumonia is no joke.
