Recommend your lovey?

DS's sleep has been crap lately and I think part of it is separation anxiety. I have been patting him to sleep in his crib since he won't put himself down anymore, and he literally feels for my hand and grabs onto my finger and holds on for dear life. It's cute, but I can't stand there all night. I'm thinking a lovey would help. Was looking at the Aiden & Anais ones but it sounds like they can fall apart. What works for your LOs?

  • DD like to cuddle with her burp rags.  They are flannel on one side and terry cloth on the other.

  • DD mostly likes her blanket and face cloths, but we got a Bunnies By the Bay Buddy Blanket for Christmas that she seems to like. That is a lovey.

  • We also use an A&A blanket. She wakes up and snuggles it then usually goes back to sleep not always but it's helped a lot! We have also washed ours A LOT and they haven't fallen apart.

  • DS has this: https://www.etsy.com/transaction/244210593

it's all felt with no sewed on parts, so no choking hazards.
  • Cool. Do those of you who use A + A have the security blanket or an animal lovey?

  • We use the A&A security blankets. DS loves it and will hold onto it all night. It's so sweet.

We just use the A&A swaddle blankets we used to swaddle her with.

  • A&A security banket users here too. DD has had hers for almost 3 years and DS since birth and loves it

We have both but she only sleeps with her elephant lovey and only at daycare. We wash it every week, it's still in great condition. At home she sleeps with a Jellycat bunny.
  • I'm thinking this might help us too. DD used to go down on her own and now she's up the second we put her down, rubbing my face, holding onto my finger, etc. I don't know how to start giving her a lovey though. Just start having it with her whenever she goes down?
  • We have an A+A animal (elephant) lovey and I love it. No issues with falling apart. LO also still really loves his wubbanub....the paci with the animal attached. Either of them work well!

  • We have the A&A puppy lovey and DD loves it.

@apinkpelican - I put the lovey between me and DD when I would nurse her and kind of have her hold onto it.  Then I would put it in her hand when I laid her down.

  • My son loves Skipit - he's a "Silly Buddy" by Bunnies by the Bay. Received one as a gift and bought several more - some for him (in case one is in the wash) and some to give as gifts. They have cute bunnies, etc. and they are small. They hold a binky if your LO uses one.

  • I second @letal316‌ -- the Jellycat Hippo is my daughter's absolute favorite thing. She puts it right next to her face and passes out.
  • We have a frog lovey from Douglas Baby. We call him Frog Face. She usually buries her face in him, or pulls him up over her eyes like a sleep mask. And any time we set her down somewhere, if we wave Frog Face around and say "Here comes Frog Face!", she gets super excited and reaches out for him. When we let go, she pulls him in and scrunches over him protectively while giggling. I fucking LOVE this kid!
  • She has a monkey blanket that will calm her in any situation
