Any Mommy and Me group recommendations?

Does anyone know of any mommy and me groups/classes? I've found a group on FB, but it doesn't seem to be very active. Also, this may be a stupid question, but do you join a group before or after giving birth? None of my close friends have kids or plan on having kids, so I'd really like to find a group of new mommies to relate to.

Check out Parents in Parenting- www.pipaustin.org I know you can sign up now and they will try to place you in a group with similar due dates and neighborhoods. When are you due?
