Short Cervix...

I'm 20 weeks pregnant and today I went in to see my OBGYN for a UTI that I recently got... I took antibiotics and started back with symptoms two days after finishing my medication during my visit I brought up that I still continue to have spotting through my pregnancy and my OBGYN noticed that I seem to have a "short cervix" has anyone had this before? This is my 3rd pregnancy and this is the first time I have had this problem. I'm worried now...

    I have a naturally short cervix and it went from 2.5 to 1.5 so they put a cerclage in at 22 weeks. Did you doctor say what the measurement is or the plan going forward for monitoring it?

    I was just searching for @mylittleladies1229‌, I couldn't remember the numbers :)

    My cervix was shortened with funneling at my 16 week appointment. I had a cerclage placed. Week 18 I started progesterone suppositories and get checked again on Friday.

    This is my 5th pregnancy but 4th to make it this far.

    @mylittleladies1229 No not yet. I have another visit coming up but I'm already worried.

    I wouldn't necessarily be worried because I'm assuming your doctor would have acted more urgently about the matter if it was a problem.  When is your next appointment?

    At my last appointment mine was found to be shortening, but not to the point where it's of big concern.  They are just going to keep checking it every week to two weeks to make sure it doesn't continue on the shortening trend until it's supposed it.

    Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck.  Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.
