for the bottles you use. Are you using slow, medium or fast? I've been using slow but he's using bigger bottles now which come with medium, if I'm still nursing as much as possible do you think the med would be too different or am I thinking too much about this?

I don't supplement but DH and the nanny give her BM bottles. I just bought level 2 Dr. Browns nipples because technically they're for 4+ months. I'm going to stick with level 1 as long as possible because she nurses well and I want that to continue. I'll be relying on DH and the nanny to tell me when they think she's frustrated with level 1 flow and then we'll switch. For now I won't fix what isn't broken

I still use level 1 nipples on all size bottles. I think i probably always will.

We use avent natural bottles and have been using the #2 nipples that came with the larger bottles. I haven't noticed the bottle flow affecting her nursing, more her interest in what's going on around her.

I've been told to always keep a #1 slowest flow nipple as long as I BF, because the breast never changes flow and a faster flow nipple can make a baby like the bottle better. I FF my first, and usually followed the age guidelines for the nipples, but now that I'm breastfeeding my second, I'm sticking to the slow flow #1 until I wean or have to switch to EFF.
