Hope you lovely ladies had a good weekend!!!

@Bunnyberry, last month at cd2 I had a 9mm and it ended up being my lead follicle throughout this cycle. I asked the nurse if this was a left over follie/cyst and she said no. I think it could go either way. I'm curious to see what the other ladies have to say. It's never been explained to me either.

AFM, I'm 10dpiui...just one more week of torture in the 2WW. I really wanted DH to be there on 1/19 for beta. RE does a quick blood test and tells you within 15 minutes. My other RE I wouldn't find out until after 2:30pm. Last month I was blindsided, DH works, so I have my mom coming with me this time. Other than that, the only unusual symptom I experienced was heavy cramping on my right side on/off throughout the day. FU progesterone and your constipation. The heavy cramping is not a usual symptom for me but then again with the injects my cycles have been different than on Clomid & Femara.

Edited (forgot QOTW, again): ***children mentioned*** I wanted to be a pediatric nurse. Everytime I would see a kid in the grocery store, park, etc when they would cry I would smile at them and they would stop crying. For some reason they always gravitated to me. When I turned 18, I volunteered at our local hospital in the Pediatrics Oncology ward and I just couldn't leave the cases at work. They brought on panic attacks and I realized this was not meant for me. Hats off to you ladies in the medical field, I am always in awe of your compassion and dedication to patient care.

Test day for medicated IUI #7 is Friday... feeling completely normal which I'm trying to not take as a bad sign.. after almost a year of testing/treatments I feel like I'm gonig to feel SOMETHING when it finally works.  I had my monthly "emotional breakdown" Saturday, as the realization that we only have one more IUI attempt next month before we're out of options.  I'm just so on the fence with IVF, especially since insurance doesn't cover it ..... ugh

Lots of people in the 2ww right now so good luck to you all!

     Me: 30 ~ DH: 30

  • @bunnyberry - hope this IUI round is the one but glad you are positive about moving forward

@deelopi9 - good luck with the beta! FX for you!

@madamewaffles - Sorry about the BFN

I'm sitting in limbo at the moment.. I still have IUI #2 scheduled but we had a little set back on Saturday.  DH's second SA came back with a 0 sperm count.  They re-did another one on Saturday and did blood work to look at his testosterone levels and we will know more today.  Uro said that if there is at least 5 million in the count than we should still go forward with the IUI as planned.. If not, than it's up to my RE who I see on thursday for a monitoring appointment.  So FX that we have some good news today..

QOTW: I always wanted to be teacher when I was little.. I'm a librarian so not that far off.

  • @BunnyBerry, at the school I used to work at, you probably wouldn't have been the first to inject yourself with something in that classroom, just sayin!

@madamewaffles, hopefully it's just too early!

@Cupcakegal930 and @greer825, FX for good results!

@nd613, the TWW is torture! Good luck!

AFM: I'm on CD4 of our first IUI cycle. Day 2 out of 5 on Femara. I start OPKs next Monday, have mid-cycle monitoring on Tuesday, and then hopefully we'll do the IUI late next week!

  • I'm in day 3, preparing for IUI 2. I'm doing this one at 7.5 letrozole. Fingers crossed for multiple follies! I'm considering a trigger shot. It's hard to make a good decision, though, given my RE's "meh, couldn't hurt" approach to my ideas.... Upping letrozole, trying for multiple follies, CoQ10, DHeA, and a trigger to possibly improve timing. Her only consistant proactive advice? Eat more leafy greens. sheesh.

I wanted to be a broadway musical singer when I was young.  :)

  • I'm currently 2dpiui. I wore what I hope to be my lucky blue leg warmers to my first iui appointment thanks to my Elfster Buddy. The nurse and my RE loved that we all did that for each other. I was nervous going in but I get a long really well with everyone at the clinic and we sort of made fun of what was going on. Like the nurse joked that she touched my hubby's sperm. And she did....she got the tube from the lab lol. Anyways, I had major cramping afterwards. Wasn't prepared for that. Things seem better now. I test next Saturday and call the RE's office with either a pos/neg result.

QOTW: I always wanted to be a police officer. I'm certified in one state, but since I moved to another state, I would need to go thru the recruit course and being sprayed in the face is not so fun. Soooo, for now, I've settled for Security. I like it so it works out.

  • I am 11 dpiui #2. Only 4 more days left in my 2ww. I get my blood tested on Friday morning. I should know by the afternoon. I am debating on taking the afternoon off from work because if it is negative again I won't be able to hide back the tears, but my coworkers told me they would make sure I stay cooped up on my office of that happens. I am thinking positive thoughts though.
Qotw : I wanted to be a teacher when I was little and played school all the time. That is what I became add an adult.

  • Hey there! I can't reply to everyone right now, but I'm sending the best of luck to all of you in the 2WW!

This is CD 6 on a break cycle for me. IUI #1 was a bust, just like the 3 TI cycles before it, and I need some time off from the meds.  Right now I'm feeling the best I have since this all started in late August! I'm sad that our odds on this natural cycle are so low, but I think it's going to be a good thing for my mental health.

QOTW: I wanted to be a novelist. It's still a dream, for someday.
  • Hi Girls,
Sorry I have been somewhat MIA.  The last (3rd) IUI failed and we decided to move on to IVF which I was super excited about.  That was until I went in to speak to my RE.  He says my FSH is high, 15, 13, and 12 for the last three months.  He still belives we should go forward with the IVF.  He told me that hes had many women get pregnant with high FSHs.  He notes that my age is encouraging and that I responded well to injectibles.

Thank you for all your help and support. Best wishes to everyone.

Well, sadly it looks like I will be joining this board, if you'll have me ladies and @AnnaClaire256...

    1. Where are you at in the IUI process? (2WW, meds, break, etc.)
My temp dropped below the cover this morning, and I feel crampy + started spotting this afternoon.  I actually apotted a couple days ago, so I've been waiting for a while.. if it isn't bad enough that she's coming, she decided to drag it out :-w
    2. Which IUI are you on?
This will be my very first, so I'm looking forward to learning from you ladies.

    image

QOTW: When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up? I wanted to be many things, but one that stuck out for a few years was a journalist... later a photojournalist.  I even had a little newsletter for a few years on AOL that had quite the distribution - I even had a couple volunteer writers.  I actually ended up in website user experience, which lends itself to the design piece I enjoyed so much with the newsletter!  I am not convinced I've found my dream career yet, though... :)
