Just for fun: name my 3rd DD

We are sooooo lost on girl names. It was a nightmare finding names for DD1 (Abigail) and DD2 (Bryony). (Meanwhile, we could've easily named 10 boys if I'd had them).

So, just for fun - name my 3rd daughter!

Is it going to be a "C" name? (Not trying to be snarky at all, btw, but I know a family who has 5 kids and they have an A, B, C, D and E so I wondered if you were doing the same!?)

If so, I like Cecelia and I think it goes well with your other names! Or Claire.

You know, it's funny you say that! Our A & B were completely unintentional - in fact, I didn't even realise it until my father pointed it out at the hospital when DD2 was born. So, yes, for a while we were looking for a C name but I've given up on that. Because it was too restricting for a couple already struggling to find ANYTHING.

Are you shooting for something Welsh/Gaelic (like Bryony) or more "recognizable" (like Abigail). I feel like they're on opposite sides of the spectrum for most people here. Which way are swinging this time around?

I am English - moved to the States when I was 20

My father's heritage is Welsh, which sort of lead to Bryony, and even though it's unusual here it is somewhat more common/known in England. And Abigail is also an English classic. So, yes, something along those lines?

I am liking Chloe, Ivy, Violet, and Lillian (Lily). DH is not sure about those.

Yeah, that's why I kind of clarified with recognizable (in quotes) here in the states. I'm familiar with Bryony, but I would guess a lot aren't. I didn't know if you were leaning more towards Myfanwy or Imogen.

I really like Ivy of your current choices. Any thoughts on Iris since you seem to lean towards floral names?

Hmm I quite like Imogen, that's one to sleep on. I prefer Ivy to Iris if I was to pick between the two.

Your names also remind me (largely because of Bryony) of the novel Atonement, you might find some similar names (British/period) there. I don't remember all of them, but Cecilia (which I think was already mentioned) and Fiona stand out.
