Hi everyone!
I have gone back to my doctor and began having BC discussions. I have just had my second child and do not plan to have more. I not keen on the idea of going in the pill again. He suggested we do Essure but I have seen some horrible things on the Web about damage, issues etc (Erin Brockovich is taking up the cause!).
Would love to hear what other mamas are using, experience with other methods besides the pill. DH is willing to get snipped so that is an option too!! TIA!
Re: Long Term Birth Control options?
Right now we won't do anything for BC. I'm BF-ing (I know it's not 100%).
If I was going to do a longer term but not permanent BC option, I would do a non-hormonal IUD. Coming off the pill sucked for me, and after I quit taking it, I realized it had been negatively affecting my libid, sso I don't want any hormone options anymore.
If I wanted short-term BC, we'd use fertility charting and condoms during my fertile days.
A coworker's wife got Essure after their 2nd baby. 6 months after getting it done she was KU again because it didn't work.
