How's everyone doing?

I work day shifts this weekend and have been busy but I have to AW that DH and I had SUCH a nice date/evening last night!  I was at work and he texted me asking if I wanted to do dinner.  So he grabbed DD from DC and I rushed home to wash up/change and we went out to dinner as a family.  We haven't done a dinner out with little bug at a nice place yet and it went so smoothly that we both were pumped and agreed we have to do it more often!  We ate early around 5 so it fit and got hom in time for bath and bedtime.  Then DH and I rented a movie and it was just lovely.  :)

Tonght I am going to chill at home since I am running out of steam from the early workdays and tomorrow my mom is going have DD while DH watches the Packer Game. Not to shabby!

The worst part of the weekend has been having to make the drive to work in the rental "death box" of a car they gave me since my accident.  I just want my car!

    Today is the first time since DS was born that H is away for the night without us. I've travelled and they've been alone and H has had plenty of late work nights, but he left today at 2 and won't get back until 7ish tomorrow (he's seeing his new niece but DS is sick so we opted to stay home, not to mention fear of the 7 hours of driving). Somehow it just feels different but DS has been so good and I'm not minding the alone time together. I just hope I get a night in return sometime soon!

    We drove up to my home town 5.5 hours (usually takes 4, but roads were crappy) to have Christmas with my family. Other than my mom, no one else has met the new babies yet. My SIL was so excited.

    Tomorrow after the Packer game we are doing Christmas, then DH and I are going to see Taken 3. Hanging out the rest of the night, then driving home on Monday.

    TTC for 1.5 years with a crappy RE. 12 cycles with clomid (11 too many)

    It's a quiet weekend here. Took DD and the dog for a long walk this morning then off to a play date, and just got DD down to sleep. Someone here recommended Mr Selfridge PBS series and now I'm about to continue my binge watching. Jeremy Pivens is awesome in it!

    We are in DC through Wednesday and I am basically doing cartwheels around the Mall because I'm so happy to be back and seeing everyone I love so much!
    Our little Samosa arrives in January!

    We took DD to the Air Force Museum yesterday and then binge watched Sons of Anarchy Season 2 on Amazon Prime while she napped. I'm so addicted to that show--Charlie Hunnam, swoon.

    Last night was rough. Since it's been soooo cold here in the midwest our heat has been cranking non-stop. However, this really dries everyone out, including DD. She was up every couple hours asking for "wawa". We don't leave it in the crib because basically ever cup she has can leak which would also wake her up. Also, we've been working on potty training--which yesterday she actually did great with, but then when she woke up in the middle of the night and was wet she was also mad and wanted to be changed. So DH and her took a trip to the potty at 4 am.

    Today DH is on 24 hour shift. I took DD to church and then to Target. Target was a nightmare. I was waiting on my prescription to be filled and she just had fit after fit about not getting to do exactly what she wanted. I was so embarrassed but refused to give into her (she wanted to keep watching videos on my phone, but she had already done a lot of that) so of course I looked like the bad mom. I came home tired, exhausted and emotional. It's just been one of those days. I think we're both cranky from a poor night's sleep. Hoping tonight is better as my first day of my (FINAL!) semester of grad school/internship is tomorrow.

    @ohiodoxiemama08‌ so sorry it was a long day! Good for you not giving in. I always give in out of being embarrassed and know I need to stop. October on the airplanes were the only time I didn't and it was awful for quite a bit of the travel. Be proud you did it and get some rest!

    yesterday was my birthday, so we celebrated all weekend
    family came over saturday night
    my sister's bday present to me was watching soph so we could pull off a movie double header yesterday (we like to theater hop)
    and then turns out soph has a fever and threw up...
    happy birthday!
