Night screams?

Anyone else having this just start recently? My lo is 8.5
Months and started waking up around four hours into the night screaming crying pushing us off of her- it's straight awful! We were thinking gas maybe? Trying the gas relief drops and did hear some little toots but GEEZ this is awful! It's loud hard crying and screeching!

    I was just reading about them. Goodness. It can be up to 20 min++ of crying out with only a few breaks. We are taking turns but it sounds like she is being tortured.

    We had this the other night. So sad! She wouldn't even look at me until she calmed down a bit. We ended up sleeping on the couch the rest of the night cuz daddy had to wake up early. But it hasn't happened again. (We assumed nightmare too).

    We've had this for months, it's more of a fussing thing for him, every time he wakes he screams, I try comforting him and he does as much as he can to get away from me but if I but him down the crying is worse, same with the bottle, wants it but don't ! No fun !

    DD1 suffers from night terrors. Now that's she's 2.5 they're getting a little better. They used to be multiple times a night but in the past month they've only been once or twice a week.

    My daughter gets night terrors if she doesn't get a nap or go to bed early enough. They're horrible!!

    We have had that a couple of times.  I believe they are nightmares/night terrors which can start around this age.  The most pathetic part is that even after DD calms down she wimpers for a good ten minutes or so every time she takes a breath.  Poor little thing.  :-(

    I ask my pedi and she said it is normal and can be teething! I don't know but my son is 10 years old have that too and I don't let him watch anything inappropriate for his age .
