Help: All day morning sickness- any relief?

For the past few days I have had non stop 24/7 nausea. I feel like I'm on the brink of throwing up but it doesn't happen.
Next week I am traveling with my husband to visit his family. We will be there for almost 2 weeks and I would hate to feel like this the whole time. I don't know how long this will last ugh.
Anybody struggle with the same thing and found a solution or at least something that made the nausea manageable enough so I can enjoy my time with the family? :-(

  • Eating usually makes mine go away. I've been eating every 30 minutes for the past week.
There're meds they can prescribe but I don't know if they'd give you any since you aren't actually throwing up (really, I have no clue because I'm not a doctor). Maybe you could call on Monday and ask?

  • I would ask for the zofran, like @minionkeeper‌ said. Or look into B6 too. I've heard seabands do work!
  • I've been trying to eat more often, I also drink a lot of water and lemonade (seems to help), I'll drink a can of ginger ale too. My DHs mom told me to eat like a half moon shape of pineapple every night before I go to bed to help wih morning sickness, I've been doing that and I have no idea if it's helping or not BUT I have yet to have morning sickness...
Also, there is a list on TB says like "9 things a pregnant women can't live without" there are these pops (I guess they're like lollipops says they help with nausea... Maybe they could help you. Hope you start to feel better!!
  • I'm sorry you're experiencing this! That was me for the past 2 weeks and it was terrible!! I felt miserable on top of the mental feeling of being overwhelmed by the physical feeling.

I heard a lot of "eat more often" but I just couldn't bear to eat anything.

Here were my tips for barely making it through that feeling:
    1. Ginger anything. American Congress on Gynecology suggests 250mg of ginger pills/tablets 3 times a day.
    2. While I waited for the pills to take effect, I grabbed ginger anything. Tea, gum, I even sniffed ginger essential oil (desperation) and peppermint essential oil. Try it. You'll be surprised. Ginger didn't smell so great but the peppermint has been awesome.
    3. Find any liquid you like and guzzle it down.
    4. The minute a thought of a desirable food hits...go for it. Don't think about budget, time or health (within reason).

This weekend has been much better for me. Still haven't felt great, but soooo much better than the past two weeks!

I got preggie pops today and they did seem to calm my stomach down for a little bit. :)
  • Thanks for the tips ladies. I have also been feeling nauseous mostly in the evenings. I know I should eat something, but I don't feel like eating anything. And I know I will feel better after eating. Those lollipops sound intriguing.

  • The nausea sucks, I'm dealing with it as well....all effing day long. I try to tell myself it's a good thing. There's a lot of good advice here. You won't want to eat or drink but just do it, it helps me a lot. And sucking on the ginger candies helps too. I like to suck on gummy bears as well, I know I'm weird. Maybe get some flavored water or maybe something like that mio stuff to flavor it yourself.
  • Thank you all so very much. I truly appreciate the words of advice and encouragement!
  • I would try other things before the medicine, for me it got rid of the sickness but I was so constipated, and got hemorrhoids. Sorry for the tmi... My dr suggested b6 vitamins 25mg 3 times a day. If you can't find it, Walgreens or the type have what they call pregnancy pops lollipops that are b6. Small meals all day, I had gate way foods, I actually was getting sick so I found foods I could keep down and didn't suck to throw up. Good luck!
  • I had 24/7 morning sickness for 22 weeks with DS. The only thing that helped me was ice cold drinks. Super cold water/lemonade/gingerale really seemed to help. Also get outside and walk. I know this is not what you what to hear but actually throwing up may make you feel better. For me if I try to not get sick the nausea just gets worse. Once I throw up, I feel better for a few hours. I'm already throwing up with this pregnancy so I'm just managing as best I can.
