Bored with hair

All these people cutting bangs have made me itchy! lol

I tried cutting bangs and I still don't like them, so I'm going to grow them out again. (Someone remind me how much I hate them the next time I want to cut bangs!) But I'm still itching to cut my hair again.  I've reached that point where its super long, but its giving me headaches! I also have super uncooperative hair that isn't curly, isn't wavy, and isn't straight, but a stupid, lopsided mix of all three. Spam me with pictures that you think might look good?

Please excuse the mess in the background, we're refinishing floors so all the crap in is my room.

  • What about a long bob, something like this? I like the ones that are a little longer in the front than in the back.

I too have uncooperative hair that is a mixture of wavy, straight, and frizzy. It's really annoying. Most recently, I got it cut in kind of a shag style with lots of layers and I think it's my favorite cut yet. I think more layers can be easier and look better for hair like mine.

Been thinking about bangs, but pretty sure I regret them instanly

  • See, i had a bob when i got pregnant with E and i really liked it. Then i started growing it out for my wedding, and haven't really cut it since.

I really like this look. I think i have enough hair to donate, but i might have to go a bit shorter than this.

  • What about something shoulder length and little choppy with side fringe? That would take some weight off your head but you'd still have some length. It looks like your bangs are just about the right length to make the switch to side fringe. Also, when I'm not sure what I want to do with my hair I usually default to shoulder length because its non-committal (I can always chop a little more) and universally flattering. That's my two cents!

  • I'm the same as @kbates85, I go non-commital with a shoulder-length cut.  I need to be able to put it back easily with one hand, so I can't do anything that will require me to fuss with pins.

I like the choppy bob idea for you, @tamarar5.  I also like you both with and without bangs.  So really, I have to helpful advice.  I do however, think you have really pretty eyes :)

  • I vote long bob. I like the ones where it's a bit longer in front too.

I actually just recently donated my hair (ok, I still need to mail it, the ponytail is sitting on my dresser!) and got a cut that is a similar shape to this, but just below my chin. I love it. It's easy to style and looks like I put more effort into it than I do. ;-)

I was debating getting bangs as well, but decided against it for now. This was a drastic enough change that I decided to save bangs for when I get bored with this cut.

  • I'm also rocking a long bob right now, affectionately called the Lob. Do It up! Only down side is that I miss my messy top knots on days that I don't feel like doing anything with it.

  • I second having it long enough to be able to put it up in a ponytail/bun. I cut my hair super short when I was pregnant with DS, and I got tons of compliments on it. But just as I feared, I really missed being able to put it up. I didn't like having to style it every day. For me, having it long enough to put up is a must with having small children. It just got long enough for me to pull it back again and I'm so happy to have more options of what to do with it now.

  • @Puck1182 I read you have to have a minimum of 10 inches to donate? Is that what you had? I think I've got at least ten, but of course, when you need a ruler most...

  • Yeah but Pantene will not take hair that's permanently colored. I had to do 10" because locks of love was the only one I could find that woul accept hair with permanent color in it. :-p

  • Hm. I wonder if that would affect me? I highlighted my hair least year before the wedding.
