I really like Sloane, but I don't like Alexandra. I don't think they fit very well together stylistically.
Sloane Elizabeth
Sloane Margaret
Sloane Vivienne
Sloane Colette
Sloane Charlotte
Something feminine to balance Sloane.
Eta: sorry for the bad formatting
I personally love the name Sloane and used it for my cat. But everyone else thought the name was weird for her, so I imagine a lot of people you know would side eye your choice of name. I agree that another feminine name as a MN might work with Sloane. Something like
I guess I thought Alexandra was feminine for a mn? Sloane to me sounds like a power name. And also I like it with our last name which I will just say is Sturgis. Sloane Sturgis sounded nice.
Anyway I also like Ivy and Evelyn but those seem to be growing in popularity these days.

OP, I like the name and I like both names together.
I really like the name Sloane as well - I think if Alexandra is a special name for you, use them together. Fact is she'll be called Sloane Lastname 99% of the time.
Thanks Ladies! I had never heard of the Sloan on Entourage until now and only heard of the Sloane rangers thing by googling it. Since I'm in the US I don't think that's going to be a concern. And of course I know of Mark Sloan but I don't think that will be a concern when she's a little older. For now we are still keeping it at the top but there is still some time!
I like the name Sloane. My Dh used his veto because he said that is the name of a company who makes most urinals/toilets for public facilities. I didn't believe him and then went to Olive Garden the same day and sure enough! Toilet said sloane. He said he noticed because men look down at urinals. Fwiw that didn't bother me much and I still like the name!
Re: Sloane Alexandra
TTC since September 2012
I can understand why you wouldn't want Alexandra Sloane with those initials - yikes!
