Anterior Placenta!

Anyone else been told their placenta is anterior and/or too close to the cervix? Are you feeling any fetal movement? Have any moms dealt with this in prior pregnancies? Did you have to have a cesarean or did your placenta eventually lift? I know there's not really a risk involved I'm just new and all kinds of curious! :)

Re: Anterior Placenta!

  • There's a huge thread about anterior placentas and mamas who have one. Go to the search bar and look! It'll answer tons of questions.

FTM with an anterior placenta. I'm 21 weeks and only feeling movement some days.

  • I am! Anterior, and yes I feel movement everyday but it's all very low. This is my second pregnancy but first time with this. I found out at my 20 week ultrasound but that visit I didn't really talk to a Dr, just did anatomy scan. I plan on asking about it more on my next appointment but from what I have read It isn't a issue that would cause a cesarean.

I'm anterior as well and only feel her when she wants me to :) lol I'm not too worried. My doc said my placenta is lifting so I should be okay. I hope your mind is at ease, don't worry too much .
  • I've had anterior with all 3 pregnancies. So far I've delivered previous 2 via vaginal. Don't worry to much.
