Sunday Randoms

I thought I would test the waters with a Randoms board. 


Raves:

Last night DH and I decided to start TTC in September. I'm so excited! I want to tell everyone, but it sounds sort of silly to be so pumped about something that hasn't even happened yet. 

We're having chicken cacciatore for dinner!

I got a new outfit for Hawaii. It looks like a maxi dress, but it's actually pants at the bottom. And it has pockets. It may be my new favorite thing.

Rants:

DH has a man cold. 

If I get sick before our trip, I'm going to lose it. 

Part of me almost misses being too poor for nice things when C was a baby. There is too much stuff in my house now for H to get into.

    Random: I already have supper planned out for tonight, makes me feel like I have it together today. 

    DH wrecked his truck last night when he hit a moose. He's fine. Not looking forward to the whole insurance thing, and shopping for another truck.

    Raves: My mom is coming to visit today so I've been straightening up the house all morning. She wants to take the kiddos and me out for lunch and shopping so they are super excited! I'm hoping to pick up a few last minute baby items I've been dragging my feet on.

    Rants: DH has to work today/tonight for his companies annual holiday party. It's mandatory and he had to wear argyle. I just don't get it.

    My husband just took the boys outside to play in the snow.  I am THRILLED.  They really need outdoor activity time- it has been a bad week of staying indoors because of the cold.  It feels like a heatwave compared to earlier in the week.

    We got a letter from the State Treasurer regarding a couple of accounts in my FIL's name- he died over 10 years ago, so MIL must have forgotten about these accounts- she is also deceased.  So we need to fill out paperwork to claim them.  We agreed to put the money in the boys' college funds- it is what my ILs would have wanted.  So after splitting it with his 3 sisters, our share of it should be enough to cover a semester for each of the boys based on what we have worked out that what would be needed.

    Rant

    I am at a weight plateau- I really hate exercising- but it looks that I am going to have to increase to 5 days a week from 3 days.  I need to lose another 10 pounds to be at a more healthier weight for my Cardiologist to get off my back.  Getting old sucks.

    Rave: got grocery shopping done this morning, and dinner is cooking in the crockpot. DH and DS are currently napping, so I'm taking advantage of the quiet house and getting so much done! (This is my bump break lol).

    Rant: I have to have outpatient surgery sometime in the near future to remove a cyst. Dr said I would be very limited in picking up DS and mobility in general for most likely a week, maybe more. I have too much on my plate right now to have surgery! DH is going to have to take some days off of work since I won't be able to do much. Overall it's just a giant inconvenience.

    @hillgirl322, I'm not watching the award show (just got rid of satellite), but I am reviewing all of the arrival fashion online and catching some real time reviews.

    Laura Prepon, Salma Hayak, and Allison Williams are my favorites. Most aren't bad but some are terrible!!

    Anna Farris, Ellie Kemper, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, and Sienna Miller are my tentative favorites. Loved Naomi Watts' snake necklace.
    Lana Del Ray looks like she's going to Prom. And as much as I hate to say it, Tina Fey is probably my worst dressed.
