The kids may not sleep in it, but boy is it cool looking!
I actually happened to be looking at the little Costco flyer they send out and they have a bunk bed with stairs instead of a ladder that is going to be like $500 off soon (I will look up when when the kids get up). So check out their website too. We have several pieces of furniture from there and the quality is awesome
Since my phone won't let me edit, it's the Connor staircase bunk bed. $300 off from Feb 9th to 15th. I'm assuming it will be on sale in the states too...
Jeff is showing no signs of being out of his crib soon, but I just love this bed and the price is great. I love the idea of a full on bottom just incase we ever need to sleep with him, there will be room. We too won't use the upper bunk for quite a while...we probably won't install the ladder until much later just use that upper space for storage.
Henry Cavill...You're welcome!

This is the one I'm thinking of getting for K. Her room is too small for even a double. This one pulls out into a double if we need it temporarily.
Very cute!! I like the daybed style, I just worry that J will be super tall like his Daddy and uncles...so he'll grow out of it really quickly!! Although I think they take a regular twin mattress, don't they?

Amelia shares a room with her big sister, so when she gets out of the crib (which SD hope is REALLY soon), the girls will have bunk beds. SD (13) asks us about it every time they're here. Lol.
We were given the same bed that DH and FIL slept in when they were little boys for DS. It's a really nice, study bed (with a new mattress of course!) so I didn't fight it. If that top bed ever came near our house, DH and DS would never sleep again!
We will be doing the bottom bunk from my brother's old bunk beds for DD with the trundle below it. I plan on leaving the trundle pulled out about a foot so she can use it to crawl up and down it since bunks with trundles are kind of tall. It has rails. Then once she is older we would add on the top bunk. My brother and I loved them when we were little and they are super solid oak and in fabulous shape. Someday...
