Anybody remember the Toyota MR2? It actuallywas the car I really wanted. So far off from my current taste though!
Not my actual car, but this is what it looked like:
Married - April 2014 | Miscarriage - June 2014 BFP - Oct 2014 - was scheduled for IVF, but discovered we did it naturally instead! - first baby! EDD July 8
I had a 1991 Chevy 1500. It was royal blue, and we called it the "blue whale". It was super reliable. It was sold when I went to college and needed something more fuel efficient. My dad still regrets selling that truck.
Ugh. My first car was my parents' hand me down. 1989 Pontiac Grand Am- the maroon beast. That thing lived forever, but it had a leaky trunk and all of the roof liner was sagging down and would touch any tall peoples' heads. And once a month or so it would just cut off while idling at a traffic light. No warning at all.
Ok can I be the uber nerdy paranoid jerk on this? For all the worrying people do on this board about scammers, posers and catfishing, I don't know that it's the best idea to have a GTKY question whose answers are so often a security question for a password reset. What if tomorrow I was all: GTKY: Your Mom's Maiden Name GTKY: the street you grew up on... Not trying to make any implication other than we should be mindful of our GTKY's.
This signature is all for YOU. I'm on mobile and can't see crap.
Technically I never even got to see my first car. I gave my brother $1,500 to buy a car for me in another state. It was some old Nissan boxy car. Stupid thing broke before I got it. Then I was able to make payments to a family friend to buy an 89 Oldsmobile cutlass supreme. Yup, that was my first car, bench seats and all. But in high school I always wanted a jetta or a jeep.
I got my first car in high school/1998 - a 1990 Nissan Stanza. My dream car at the time was something red, two-door and sporty, but uber practical dad made me buy an uber practical sedan. It ended up being ok and I was the one who drive my friends around the most, meaning I got to pick the music and they had to buy my coffee at the coffee shop.
It lasted until I graduated college. When it still smelled like the hork I horked into the door several years before, was rusty as hell and started to stink like rotten eggs and farts due to a bad catalytic converted, it was time to let it go.
