Game Day Snacks!

Watching any football this weekend? What will you be snacking on?

I'm making chicken and waffle sliders drizzled with real maple syrup!

Re: Game Day Snacks!

  • That sounds delish!

I want a Shorty's (NYC) cheesteak. With a side of nachos. And I'm not sharing.

  • I made Fiesta ranch dip last weekend. Found it on pinterest. 1 packet hidden valley fiesta ranch dip, 10 ounce can rotel original, 16oz sour cream, 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese. Mix and enjoy with frito scoops.
  • Can I come over @somewheresublime86‌? I'll bring wings.

We are actually heading to the bar for the 4pm for a little wing action. Honey Sriracha wings are heavenly and easy to make at home.

Sure! We've got a big, comfy man cave and those wings sound delish.
  • I have asian meatballs in the crock pot right now!

  • I'm making burritos later during the Pats game and DH is currently on his way to the store to get me some Gatorade and an ice cream.

This cracks me up. We're also Pats fans. I grew up outside of Boston. DH was sent on an emergency mission one night this week to retrieve fruit punch Gatorade and ice cream sandwiches. We're football and cravings twins.

I know you weren't asking me but I have a recipe for it that people always love...

2 chicken breasts (boiled and shredded)
    2 cups grated cheddar
    2 8oz packages cream cheese
1 12oz bottle Franks buffalo sauce
1 16oz bottles of ranch dressing

Dump all ingredients into a crockpot and heat until hot and completely mixed

This is actually the recipe, but potentially better. Thanks @katylnnh. I'm one of those by look cooks and often don't have exact measurements. This seems about right, although I use more chicken. I also put a few dashes of hot sauce. Good luck. It's yummy.

@DP&MB‌ I sometimes add more chicken too if I want it thicker. Also, if I'm serving it to people who I don't think can handle spicy food, I'll add a lot more cheddar, it seems to cut down the spiciness a bit.

  • We will be watching the SEAHAWKS playoff game! Though we won't get to watch it until it's finished, I don't care as much but DH will stop all contact with anyone and the Internet until he watches it. Maybe I should make something more exciting for dinner, was going to make turkey casserole.

  • You are all making me want to go to the store and get a bunch of finger foods like potato skins, mozzarella sticks, chips and salsa, wings... The list could go on and on. Now I just have to see if DH will go to the store because when I said "making me want to go to the store" what I really meant was "making me want to send my husband".
