I'm 33 weeks pregnant and carrying very high, so much so it feels like my ribs are being crushed. Does anyone else have this? If so any suggestions on easing the pain?
Yes i do. I just push him down a bit. He comes right back up and settles in my ribs right after. I don't have any suggestions other than I feel your pain.
So, I don't know if this is true or not but it worked for me:
My friend's chiropractor told her babies react like puppies (sorry for the reference) when you try to push them from your ribs and, instead of moving, will snuggle closer. Instead, hold something cold (like your glass of water) in that spot and they'll likely move away. The two times I've tried it, it worked. Baby girl looooves hanging out in my rib cage, so I literally feel your pain. Good luck!
I was having pain for a bit. Caved and went to a chiropractor who specializes in pregnancy. DS actually popped out a rib! A small adjustment and it was back in. Hope my experience helps! I hope you are able to find a bit of relief somehow.

Don't think there is much that can be done. Sometimes I will lay on one of my sides and stretch my arms over my head to give my ribs and organs a little more room. You can try nudging LO down. I asked my doctor and he said LO is either going to sit high or sit low and either way I am going to have hip or rib pain.
I go to my chiropractor every two weeks now and she is helping stretch out my hips and it does seem to help LO move down slightly lower. Each body and LO is different
I thought I was going to die with rib pain (all 3 pregnancies). I was also a total non beliver in chiropractors but I gave it another chance this time around (went during my first pregnancy and it did absolutely nothing). I chose a different Dr. this time and she has been a complete life saver!!!

I've also read small stretching of your arms upwards helps. I get the rib pain here and there also. So the other night, I was laying on my left side. Pain was on right side. So I stretched my arm up over my head, and it definitely alleviated the pain. By everything being compressed, stretching helps pull you up a bit. Feel better, take it easy, almost there!
Hi ladies i also been having this crushing pain in the front area of my ribs under my breast it feels sooo bad and when i lay on my side feels like they all crushing together i started sleeping with high pillows and it help during the night
Yeah, I never had it with my first but I'm carrying different this time and she certainly likes to stay high. Some days are worse than others so don't think I' at the point to go the docs just yet.
I have left rib pain for about 6 wweeks now, 34 weeks and 6 days... I get on all 4 and let belly hang for about 10-20 secs, so she moves away from ribs. BTW my Dr said my muscle and ligaments on one side separated from the rib due to hormones... Go figure... Dr advised heat pack, Tylenol and physical therapy... I work ft no time for PT
