Skin problems

About a week ago I started getting red itchy bumps on my chest, back, and neck. I thought it was nothing unusual since I had it with my first pregnancy. It has now progressed into a full on angry skin problem that is now also on my face. They are red, itchy bumps and some are whiteheads. I have never had my skin look so bad. Almost 11 years ago I was diagnosed with rosacea (very mild) and have always been able to control it, but this, I cannot control. Any suggestions?

Re: Skin problems

  • The only suggestion I have is to ask your doctor.  And possibly see your dermatologist.  I have no idea.

  • Could it be PUPPS?
  • Have you asked your doctor about this?

  • I think you will definitely find asking your doc more helpful than asking this board because none of us can diagnose you. Do some research online but I would still call him. Also, I'm into essential oils so if it were me I would research and try to figure out what I have and then find an oil remedy, but not all oils are safe for pregnancy. Also it could be that your Rosacea acts up when your pregnant because of hormone levels changing, just like how people often break out right before a period.
  • Please see your doctor, it needs to be diagnosed properly.  Wish you the best, get better soon!

  • I saw my dr. When it started and she said to just put Benadryl on it to stop the itching. I plan to make another appt tomorrow. I don't believe it is PUPPS. It doesn't look like that and didn't start in any of the common areas. Thanks for all the advice, I really hope I can get some answers soon.
  • I also have started to get strange bumps randomly that itch like crazy and benadryl doesnt help.

Have you considered an allergy?  It's possible you've developed a new allergy to something.  With my son I developed an allergy to pineapple, when I'd had no issues previously.  My dr said it happens sometimes due to the changes happening with our bodies.
