So bummed today. Found out the part time position I was hoping to get after my maternity leave, I didn't even make it to the interviews. I asked hubby what he thought of me staying home full time, and he hemmed and hawed but basically he really doesn't want to. I just have no idea where I an going to find a position that pays enough we can afford daycare. /end angst rant.

We just dropped the dog off at the vet because he has a cyst on his foot and is hobbling all around. Poor fur baby. I just hope that this will not cost us a fortune.

I'm getting ready for lunch with my neighborhood ladies. They wanted to do a shower for me, but since this is definitely not my first, I suggested that we all just go hang out and get out of the house (leave the kiddos with our DHs). I'm looking forward to seeing everyone. Even though we live on the same street, we don't get to see each other often since we are all so busy.

I'm full term today too! My first two were preemies, this is a record for me! I feel like milkshakes are in my future to celebrate!

I'm a week from full term. It just feels like he's not going to stay in the full 40 ( I realize how ridiculous that sounds). DD was slightly early, so I don't know if that means anything this time. Now I'm rambling.

Spam is not much. We went to the mall yesterday and walked around. Now I'm so incredibly sore.

Are you in the US or Canada or somewhere else? That sucks about affording daycare! I worry about it too, but I'll be staying home for a year before we have to start shelling out the dough. Are there subsidies or anything available for daycare where you are?

I really wish I lived in Quebec, there's an awesome public daycare system there that is super affordable. If only we could get a national program like that in Canada!

Hope everyone who has a shower today that you have a great time and get blessed with many gifts.
DH and I spent all day yesterday looking at flooring and paint for the nursery. We've narrowed it down to one flooring we really like. Paint on the other hand has been hard to pick. So I was hoping once we seen them in day light it would be easier to pick. Well it's major cloudy here today!

I'm having a hard day today. Nothing in particular, just emotionally feel like crap. I haven't felt this poopy since 2nd trimester. I think it is my normal Sunday pre-work anxiety times 100. This is my last normal week in the office before I work from home 100 percent. I am conflicted between being relieved and having immense work guilt about not going in every day. My underling is doing a big presentation about our project and I am anxious about its reception. She will be carrying the team while I'm out. I wish I could turn my brain off.

I will be 1 week from full term tomorrow.

MFM appointment in the morning and OB appointment on Tuesday.

We thought we might be having this kid last night. I was up from 2am until almost 5am timing contractions. Drinking water, moving from the bed to the couch, to the chair, standing didnt help. Finally got DH to rub my back while on my left side in bed around 5am and they quit. Sh*% is getting real guys!!

The on call nurse sent me to the hospital last night due to regular contractions. Fortunately it was exactly what I thought (a false alarm) and they sent me home with strict instructions to get some rest and take Tylenol.

Today I'm getting my car services and visiting my nephew who was born on Tuesday

This is the first time in a week I could sit down and read spam!! Congrats to all the full term ladies - how exciting! And @amack22‌ happy shower day!

Today I've done nothing but sit and listen to the rain (it NEVER rains in SoCal) and it's been lovely. DH even went to the grocery for me, on a Sunday morning! Bless him. He saw a post from last night and asked if DH meant "dumb husband" ... lol poor guy.

I should clean. But everything hurts and I don't want to. So more bumping it is! Have a lovely Sunday, ladies.

People are getting on my nerves today. I've had three friends (without kids) text me "zomg you need to go to target and stock up on diapers and wipes and formula cuz it's spend $100 get $25 back wooooo"...Ok thanks, I know you're trying to be helpful but I'm not sticking up on things that I/baby could potentially hate. And I don't want to have to spend $100 either.

Anyway, DH is upstairs "organizing" the baby clothes. This should be interesting.

In total betch mood today. World be warned.

Ugh awful night. I got really bad stabbing stomach pains around 5 am. I'm not too sure what to think at this point bc it's right at the top of my belly. Of course I googled and it said pain at the top of the belly can be a sign of pre-e. I don't think this is the case. The first place my head went was placental abruption. I'm bad at freaking myself out over something that is probably nothing. The pains kicked the BH into high gear but they seem to be subsiding thankfully. Anyway, just venting.

I scratched the hell out of my temple while sleeping last night. Its the second time I've done this while pregnant, never had it happen before. Must be something about how awkward sleeping is right now? I should get myself some of those little mitten things that I have for baby to keep him from scratching his face.

Nothing too much else going on. Got lots done yesterday. Today is shaping up to be less prodcutive.

@DHarpster‌ we've been here for around 4 years which is right about the time the drought started. Any time it rains now it's like a miracle! And everyone loses their mind and forgets how to drive, haha!

I'm full term tomorrow! But now that a close girl friend from middle school is coming into town from Michigan and we are planning to get together on Saturday, (plus having DS's birthday party on Sunday) I definitely want DD to stay put until at least next week.

Busy day with toddler today. We took DS to swim class this morning (DH in pool with him while I stood on the side talking with another mom and taking pics). Now it's nap time, followed by a birthday party for another 2 year old this afternoon. Hopefully DS will be so tired out he will sleep great tonight.

Football: As a Redskins fan, I am cheering for Green Bay, and as a Peyton Manning fan I'm cheering for Denver. But I think the games should be pretty good today.

Just got home from our month-long trip yesterday. I already have all of the Christmas gifts and clothes put away from our FOUR suitcases, and I vacuumed the main floor!

Feeling very accomplished, and I dont think I will be leaving the couch for the rest of the day.

DH put the baby seat in the car while we were gone (he came home a week early) and I am actually feeling kind of prepared for this baby!! (at the moment at least, Im sure once I think of all the shit left to do, I'll be back to feeling anxious and overwhelmed LOL)

Not doing much today. Literally just sitting on the couch watching football. And I ordered pizza. Have been getting no sleep at night, like everyone else. DH has been sent out to find French toast crunch cereal today. I have some laundry running and other than that it will be a quiet boring day in my house.

Football: I'm a diehard patriots fan. So yesterday pleased me. DH is a panthers fan, so he is grumpy. Today both games will be good. My mom is a Cowboys fan and she has been trash talking me all morning lol.

I had to make a somewhat early run to target. Our cat got sick all over the carpet in a corner and no amount of shampooing will get it out therefore DH is replacing and I had to run out for vinegar to scrub the baseboards to try and rid of the smell. I also picked up some small groceries and some more swaddle blankets. Now I'm resting watching the Packer game.

I'm not a huge football fan but my husband is a diehard Packer fan so I have to be as well.

It is crazy to think that some of us are full term. How did that happen? It's crazy. I think I have a friend due every week from now until April! So many babies in my news feed. Unfortunately most of them live across the country so it's not like our kids will actually grow up together.

Hi ladies!

I'm at the airport waiting to get DH.

Today was a nice busy day with rugby in the morning and then my shower with my team.

We had 9 girls for the U18 girls rugby today. 4 of them were new to the sport. They did well, had fun, and will all be back next week! It was awesome!

The shower was great. One of the other girls is due about a week later than me, so it was a little joint affair with food and cake and some presents. The team pooled together and got us both a three-pack outfit, a hooded towel and washclothes, and a big gift card for one of the drug stores here that has a big baby section. My teammate is also having a little boy and we're pretty excited. I found oit there that come July, Surprise will have two more friends!

All in all, it's been a pretty good day.

I'm wondering how bad this ice storm is going to get. I'm Im in Indiana and it's supposed to ice overnight. I'm kind of hoping it's bad enough so that I don't have to go into work tomorrow, as we have everything we need to stay home comfortably, however, since I work for the state, I think it takes our county being declared in a state of emergency to close down.

Sad face, because I need to save all my vacation days for maternity leave. I should just be greatful for the nice vacation days I had over Christmas, but I would rather stay home tomorrow and sort baby clothes. Edit: autocorrect

I'm so excited for all the full term momma's! I feel like I'm so far away! Due 2/27.

I'm mobile and can't remember all the tags I wanted but hope the surgery isn't too expensive for your fur baby. I was also at target today and was tempted by the gift card offer but ended up ignoring it.

It's raining here in Vegas, usually it rains hard for ten minutes and it's over but it's been constant all day! I love it but the news reported 40 accidents in 3 hours. Apparently slowing down a little is too hard for us.

My sister is upsetting me about my shower. It was set for the 26th but she's out of town that weekend so she threw a fit and got ahold of my sil who is hosting and got the date changed to the first. She's a huge patriots fan and I read on Facebook that she wants to go to Arizona if they get to super bowl. She texts me last night saying lots of people won't show because it's super bowl day so I should change my date back and she'll miss it. I told her I couldn't care less about football, it's over before kickoff, and if a game is more important to them then I don't need their friendship.

It's bad enough the date was changed at all and now she's trying to ditch it for a stupid football game? All she responded was okay so I guess we'll see if she comes.

Also a question I didn't want to start a thread for. Dd was diagnosed with croup on December 8, and she's still sick. Any btdt moms have experience? I'm calling her pedi tomorrow morning. They did say the cough could linger but I'm so tired of her being sick, she's been a trooper.

So I was on a little bit this morning but I came back this evening due to inability to sleep. My gosh there are so many undesirable threads! It's exhausting just reading them. Hopefully Monday will bring some different topics about. I would start one but I've got nothing. Ha ha! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend despite all the drama.
