Hi there!

I'm new here and I've been looking through blogs and replying to a few posts here and there. I just wanted to introduce myself.

DH and I got married in 2010. I was 22 and he was 23. After trying for about 6 months, I got put on Clomid. After 3 unsuccessful rounds, my OB suggested DH get a SA. SA revealed low sperm count and abnormal morphology. She referred us to an RE who ran numerous tests. After what felt like never ending labs and tests, he told us IVF was our only option and we shouldn't waste much time. We immediately began all the necessary steps to begin cycling for IVF. We had a Day 3 transfer as embryos weren't looking too good. A few days later, I got the call that that we would have no embryos to freeze. Through lots and lots of prayer and hope, our first cycle resulted in our DS who is now 2.

We finally feel ready like we're ready to try and go through the process again to give DS a sibling. We went back to our RE and began all necessary labs to see where we stood. Through a sonogram, RE noticed my ovaries were small for my age. DH was asked to complete the SCSA test as well as a SA and culture. Culture came back with bacteria which doctor says is very common and was put on antibiotics for 22 days. We go back to the RE on Friday to repeat the culture and review the SCSA results.

    Welcome! Also for what it's worth - my husband's SA done in November also showed bacteria. They weren't worried and told us that the doxy he would be on for my IVF cycle would clear it up. My clinic makes all men take a doxycycline script once every 3 months if they are IVF patients to stay on top of the issue. We went on to get a BFP with the IVF cycle we did weeks after his sample, so I wouldn't worry too much.

    ~SAIF/PAIF/Everyone Welcome~ 

    Me= 37 and DH = 41 

    Dx: DOR, Endo, APA+ (really high beta 2 glycoprotein antibody and high everything else tested), heterozygous MTHFR mutation, positive for lupus anticoagulant, high FSH, low AMH and both tubes blocked (per HSG on 3/8/11)

    IVF #1 - long lupron (with HGH, intralipids, lovenox and BA); 4 retrieved, 3 fertilized; ET 2 blasts and 1 frozen = BFN

    IVF #2 - a version of antagonist with EPP (with HGH, intralipids, lovenox and BA); 6 retrieved, 4 mature, 3 fertilized, 2 blasts and 1 frozen blast transferred on day 5 = BFN.

    IVF #3 April was postponed to May, May was canceled. June/July was canceled. Had a cyst aspiration and then began IVF #3 in August. ER on 8/22; ET on 8/24 with AH. +HPT on 9/5. Beta #1 (11dpo) = 3; Beta #2 (15dpo) = 29; Beta #3 (17dpo) = 60; Beta #4 (19 dpo) = 118. Heartbeat at 6 weeks 6 days =132.  Lil is here!

    TTC#2:  Trigger + TI = BFN; Clomid + Trigger + IUI = BFN.

    IVF #4:  BCP + MDLF + Lovenox = 7R, 1F = Transferred 1 6-cell embryo on day 3 = BFN

    IVF #5:  MDLF + Lovenox = 4R, 1F = Transferred 1 10-cell compacting embryo on day 3 = BFN

    IVF #6:  (New RE):  Long Antagonist November 2014 (transferred two 8 cell grade 1 embryos and froze one blast) = BFN

    FET#1:  BFN

    IVF #1 Lupron/Menopur/Gonal-f/HCG Trigger
    ER 4/19/12 = 11 retrieved, 6 fertilized,
    ET 4/22/12 = 2 transfered (day 3), remaining 3 weren't good enough to freeze
    Beta 5/3 = BFP, 87 Beta #2 5/7 560.9 Beta #3 5/9 1376.5 First u/s One Baby, 125bpm!
    Second u/s, 176bmp! Kicked over to the OB by the RE at 8w. Team Green!! 
    Baby girl J arrived two weeks early! Born into water, med-free. Hooray for Team Pink!

    TTC #2 - back to the RE, treatment started 12/2014.

    Three TI cycles (BFP...miscarriage), five IUI attempts and 2.5 IVF cycles later...BFP!!
    12dp5dt: 765; 15dp5dt: 1979; 17dp5dt: 3379...TWINS!!!!!
    Our perfect baby boys were born at 36w1d!!

    So...RE said that given DH's history, SCSA was excellent! However, sperm count, morphology, and motility don't look too good. Count is too low to even consider IUI so IVF seems to be our only option. While we're glad SCSA was good, we really cannot afford to cycle right now and will have to wait a few months to begin cycling. Has anyone tried any count boosting traetments and been successful?
