So I thought since we've had a few sad posts lately that I'd share some happy news that I've wanted to share with you all for awhile.
My sister was a May14 mom (not an active member of TB) and we had the exact same due date. The exact date. 5-22. It was completely random because she'd struggled with infertility for 6 years and I pretty much sneezed and wasn't trying. And there we were due with our baby girls on the same day, which was one day after our moms bday. We joked that our grandmother was planning the ultimate birthday gift from above.
Sadly my sister lost her baby unexpectedly at 20 weeks. We went through 20 weeks of our first pregnancies together and then I had to go on without her. I was crushed and detached from my own pregnancy for awhile. My sis loves my DD more than the world but it had to be the hardest thing ever for her to go along with my tummy growing and hers not. We had to cancel our double shower and she stood by me at my shower. I still mourn her baby girl and what we dreamed of for those 20 weeks. I can't imagine what that was like for her.
BUT the great news is that my sister is now 32 weeks pregnant!! She's high risk for a few reasons so it's been a nerve-racking pregnancy but all is well and her baby girl is due in early March. I know there is much power behind the May14 group and I'd love for you all to send her prayers or positive thoughts for a continued healthy pregnancy and delivery.
. Even typing this feels scary because we've been too cautious to really celebrate this whole time. We just want that sweet babe healthy and in our arms. Thanks all for listening and sending a fellow May mommy your love.
