Follicles Need to Grow

Hi everyone,

I stair stepped on Clomid (50 mg to 100 mg) over the last few weeks, and today during my vaginal ultrasound, my follicles finally showed a response! I am not taking any more Clomid right now, but on Saturday, I go for another ultrasound to see where my follicles are (they need to be 20-22 mm). My largest follicle was 13 mm. Any tips (maybe dietary?) to help my ovaries??

Me (28)- PCOS, no natural cycle since stopping BC pills in 2013
DH (29)- SA= all good
Married since March 2013 (together since 2004) + TTC since April 2013

Provera 12/13, 6/14, 8/14, 10/ 14, 12/14

Clomid 50 mg 12/14- no follicles big enough, stair stepped with Clomid 100 mg (1 follicle 22/25 mm) + Ovidrel trigger shot 1/15- BFN

Clomid 150 mg 1/15- no follicles responding- repeated 150 mg + Ovidrel trigger shot + IUI- BFP

    no tips here but they grow quickly so FX mine went from 12mm on a Monday to 22mm on a Friday!  Good luck!

    No tips either but wanted to say best of luck! And if it's encouraging-I also stair stepped (femara) this cycle. My follies were originally 14 mm but when I went back for my repeat scan they were 27, 21, & 17. So--they will grow! I did IUI the next AM.
    I didn't change diet but continued aspirin, prenatal, Vit D, CoQ 10, & metformin. Best wishes

    10/2014-benched due to RE out of town, tying naturally!
    11/2014-benched due to cyst
    12/2014-Femara 5mg + stair step with additional 5 days Femara 5mg + trigger + IUI=BFN
    01/2015-Femara 5mg + Gonal F 25 units + trigger (plus additional Gonal F 100 units on trigger night) + IUI= BFP!!! Twins due 10/2015
    09/28/2015- Surprise!  Conrad and Hudson born at 35w6d!

    That's a good question, I don't know if there is anything that can be done to help follie growth. The only guess I have is to avoid soy because it simulates estrogen and might interfere with FSH levels? 

    I hope you see great growth at Saturday's scan!

    FX for good follie size.
    Me-33 DH-36.
    Married 11/10 TTC 11/10
    06/11- diagnosed with PCOS 
    7/11- D&C and benched for a year 
    9/12-4/13-6 rounds of 50 mg Clomid- no sucess 
    6/13- new doc
    7/13-4/14- 6 more rounds of Clomid. 50 mg and then stepped up to 100mg- no success 
    5/14-7/14- took break waiting for new insurance 
    7/14-new insurance= new doc- actually a RE!!!! 
    7/14-HSG and blood test good-PCOS confirmed by new doc 
    10/14 looking forward to 1st IUI w/ Menopur. Blood Test= Negative
    11/14- IUI #2     w/ Menopur- Blood Test= Negative
    1/15- IUI # 3 w/     Menopur- Blood Test= Negative
    2/15- Self Benched this cycle
    3/15/15-Suprise BFP on natural cycle!!!! EDD-11/16/15

    No tips....but, FX for beautiful, mature follies this cycle!! Keep us posted!

    TTC since October 2013 
    First RE visit after TTC naturally-Oct 2014
    HSG test Oct 2014-no blockage
    Non medicated IUI #1-Nov 2014-BFN
    Letrozole 5MG and Trigger Shot IUI #2-Dec 2014-BFN
    No Change in Meds-IUI #3-Jan 2014-Currently in TWW

    I'm in the same situation! I stairstepped from 100mg to 150mg and for the first time ever I had a response! My biggest on 1/6 was 17mm and I had a few 12s, 14s, and 15s as well. I have PCOS too so I usually have a lot of little follicles and this is the first time any have ever been growing. I go back on 1/9 to hopefully see one or two ready to O! Good luck to you. I hope your follies get to the perfect size so you have a chance as well.

    Good luck! I am in the same boat. On Tuesday my largest folli was 12. I go back Friday for a repeat US to see when to trigger. Best of luck to you this cycle. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for many of us!
    TTC since September 2013.
    History:
    -anovulatory from 2/2014-8/2014. Used provera prescribed by GYN to induce bleeding.
    -9/2014- 1st appointment with REI
    -9/2014-11/2014-two cycles of Femara, one unmedicated cycle. Femara stopped due to side effects.
    -12/2014-clomid & ovidrel= BFN
    -1/2015- started cycle #2 of clomid (50 mg), went for mid cycle scan twice and follicles were not responding as hoped. Started on mid cycle climbed 100mg for 5 more days.

    On Wednesday I had a 9mm, a 15 on Saturday and 18 on Monday. My follies were slow this cycle on letrozole, but I finally got my 18! Triggered Monday night and fingers crossed! GL!
    Me: 28 DH: 29
    TTC since July 2013
    September 2013 period still hasn't started since getting off BC
    October 2013 OBGYN prescribed 4 months of unmonitored Clomid
    3 Months of Clomid, ovulated once
    Opted to not do 4th cycle without proper testing found new OBGYN
    January 2014 new OBGYN diagnosed me with PCOS ordered ultrasound
    January 2014 Ultrasound found possible uterine septum
    February 2014 MRI confirmed uterine septum, referral to RE
    March 2014 RE scheduled septum removal for late June
    Benched due to possible miscarriages if falling pregnant, back on BC
    June 2014 Septum Removal surgery, hysteroscopy/laparascopy
    Laparascopy revealed mild endometriosis
    Benched until September 2014 for recovery and healing
    October 2014 - First letrozole, HCG trigger, TI cycle, 18mm follie
    November 2014 - BFP - loss at 6 weeks
    January 2015 - Green light to try again 18mm follie, letrozole, HCG trigger 
    January 2015 - BFP - two ultrasounds and strong heartbeat found on Doppler!!!

    Thank you everyone! I went this morning, and I have 1 follicle that is 22x25 (oval). So I got the Ovidrel shot, and now we try tonight and tomorrow. Then we wait. Fingers crossed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
