Pregnant after a Loss

Need some reassurance (Prior loss mentioned)

I need some reassurance. I am 8 w1d. 2 days ago my symptoms just suddenly disappeared. I had nausea so bad the dr had to prescribe me something.

I am worried because with our last pregnancy I had a sudden loss of symptoms and 2 weeks later at my us we found no heartbeat. The baby had stopped growing right around the time my symptoms disappeared. I had a missed miscarriage so the lack of cramping and spotting right now isn't of any comfort to me.

We had our first Us last Friday and there was a heartbeat so I'm trying to hold on to that.

Anyone else have a sudden lack of symptoms and everything was just fine? I'm trying so hard to stay positive. Just need some reassurance.

  • I had my nausea disappear at 7 weeks and 3 days. The only symptoms that persisted for me were sore boobs, and bloat. I was convinced for weeks that things wouldn't end well. At the ten week scan we saw a very active little gummy bear. The first trimester is hard. I hope you're just enjoying some early relief from the nausea.

  • Thanks y'all!!! I have decided it is a blessing because I had to go back to work this week after 2 weeks off.
  • For my missed miscarriage my symptoms faded very gradually over several weeks, rather than suddenly.  From what others have experienced, there doesn't seem to be any reason to think that symptoms mean anything useful.  Hang in there!

  • Having or not having symptoms doesn't indicate how well a pregnancy is going.  I still had symptoms with both of my MMC.  I know it's hard to not second guess anything. Do you have another prenatal appt soon? Can you call for a Doppler check for peace of mind?

  • Nausea has totally come and gone for me, I am now 10 weeks 4 days. Did you change your diet at all? I notice if I eat well and avoid fatty foods I feel the nausea less, then I get worried. It is a vicious cycle.. Urgh!
  • I feel the same. I'm 9 weeks and all of a sudden my boobs aren't sore, I feel a bit more awake, and the nausea is minimal. I woke up really freaked out about it this morning. I'm glad to see this thread as a reminder that I am still pregnant until told otherwise, and to know that I'm not alone.
