As for me, I finished One Plus One by Jojo Moyes. The book was pretty good and I loved the last 3rd of the book, which was not typical of most of the books I read last year! I hate it when a great book is ruined by the ending.
I just picked up my first pregnancy book to read (better late than never, I guess) - The Girlfriends' Guide to Pregnancy. It seems to be a pretty easy read so far and kinda funny and quirky.
Unbroken is on my list to read. I had it downloaded from the library, but I let it expire due to my morning sickness issues. Boo to that because now I'm #24 on hold for it...
Still reading Storm at the Door. Even though I'm reading every night I'm only maybe about 1/4 of the way through it. So that will probably be my check-in every week.
@thelittlestbee YES! I hated the ending. Actually, this may be an unpopular opinion, but it was hard for me to get too into the book because I felt like all the characters were despicable people.
Finished Dead Beat Sunday, now I'm working on Proven Guilty. Both are from Jim Butcher's Dresden Files series. I only have like three more after this book!
I just finished Bitter is the New Black by Jen Lancaster. It was really snarky and comical. I definitely recommend it.
I also read Belly Laughs by Jenny McCarthy right before the new year if anyone is looking for a cute/funny pregnancy book.
I love me some Jen Lancaster - even her blog. Have you read Let's Pretend This Never Happened? I seriously had tears rolling down my cheeks it was so funny!
I love Jen Lancaster. Bitter is the New Black is her most hilarious book by far. I swear I'm going to finally finish Boys in the Boat on vacay next week, and then start the Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks. Pregnancy brain and ADD are taking a toll on my normal reading habits.
Edited because typing words is almost as difficult as finishing books right now.
Slogging through the second to last book in the outlander series. Enjoying it but parts are so slow.....
I still need to read Gone Girl and I'm working on that reading challenge that was all over Facebook. I'll probably fail spectacularly but maybe I'll make a dent.
It's one of the worst books I've read in a while. Ugh. I just want to be done with it so I can pick up a good read- I see some promising suggestions on this thread!! Thanks ladies!
My book club is reading The Orphan Train and The Book Thief for our next meeting. Already finished Orphan Train and enjoyed it....just getting into Book Thief but I've only heard good things!
I recently started The Valley of Amazement by Amy Tan. It's about courtesans during the early 1900's in China. I love all of her books!
I also finished Gone Girl not too long ago, but I was really disappointed with the ending. Anyone else feel the same?
Yessss. I mean, there's only one way I thought it could end... And when it didn't. I was just. No.
+1. I ended that book in a fit of rage and high blood pressure.
Agree, but I actually think it would be/could be how it would end IRL. Unfortunately. Did you guys see the movie?
I did... As far as books to movies go, I thought it was really well done! But I preferred the book. The nuances and the thought processes are missing from the movie (obviously) which the book relied really heavily on to tell the story, which was the best part. Did you see it?

I just finished Never Fade by Alexandra Bracken last night and am about to start Dream Thieves by Maggie Stiefvater! I had been listening to Dream Thieves while running at the gym pre-pregnancy but due to exhaustion/sickness/laziness I haven't been to the gym since the pregnancy so I picked up the paper version.
Currently reading An Inteview With A Vampire.
I received the entire series for Christmas so I will be reading them for a while.
I loved this series back in the day. I tried re-reading Interview with a vampire last month, but I got bored and set it aside. I think I read it too much and watched the movie to much. I remember it too well. If I can get through it, I'd like to finish rereading the series so that I can check out the new one, Prince Lestat, I think the name was.

I got bored reading this. I thought I stopped midway through The Fiery Cross but according to Goodreads, I actually finished it. I may continue at some point, but I'm not sure yet.

I love the Raven Boys series! So good. I also liked Scorpio Races... I don't think I'd have liked it as much if I'd physically read it, but the audiobook was fantastic. It definitely should be read in the fall, though. I reread it over the summer and it definitely was the wrong time of year. I didn't like Maggie Stiefvater's Wolves of Mercy Falls series, though. Truly awful.
I'm still working on The Republic of Thieves, by Scott Lynch. I also started a reread on Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson - the second book in the series came out a couple of days ago and I plan to read that next.
I'm not sure of any books I've read recently that are going to be made into movies, but I just heard that they're doing Wicked. I guess that qualifies... I did read that book awhile back. (Hated it. Loved the musical.) I'm not sure yet how I feel about them making a movie version.

I read this series, too. I saw that she just came out with a new book in the series.

Still working on Happiest Baby on the Block.
I have been wanting to give Gone Girl a read. Is it worth it?
Trying to finish up We are Not Ourselves.
