We do combo formula + BF -- really like Avent bottles. the munchkin is 6 weeks he eats about 8 times a day at approx 80 ml each time. He "finishes at breast" due to my low supply so it's usually 75 ml formula plus what we assume is about 5ml from me. He spits up like crazy though but docs and lactation nurse just say it's a laundry problem ...
How much are you feeding - 3-6oz every 3-4 hours. Goes for about 6-7 hours overnight before she wakes up for a snack.
What bottles are you using - Avent Naturals
Any Tips or advice - I guess the only advice I can give (and need to take) is to not feel guilty about feeding LO formula and not BM. We are NOT bad moms. (something I've been feeling lately)
How much are you feeding we usually give 4oz on demand. Usually at the feeding right before bed we started giving 5oz. I even started giving a few bottles through out the day with 5oz.
What bottles are you using We use Dr Brown and the cheap Gerber ones
Any Tips or advice Nothing is coming to mind at the moment
Questions I know LO will be 3 months before I know it. But how do you know when to change the nipples to the next size
AW I know it's not a bottle bonding pic (I really need to get one of these taken) but me and Riley last weekend before the Colts game

We just tried size 2s. The first time we tried she didn't seem ready - was choking and made a HUGE mess so we waited a week and tried again. This time she did better so we stuck with it. Although we stayed with 1s overnight for a bit just so the faster flow didn't shock her as she was half asleep. Just transitioned to 2s at night a week ago.
How much are you feeding: she was averaging 18oz in 24 hour period last week, but is going to 20-22oz last two days. She takes a 4oz bottle after her longest night stretch (usually 10-11 hours) and then does 2-3oz during day. She does more of a cluster feeding late evenings where she'll want 1-2 oz every hour until she zonks out for her longest stretch around 1-2am.
What bottles are you using: dr brown bottles with Enfamil nipples that are used w the ready to feed nursette bottles. She got used to those nipples and drank best from them. She became a very lazy eater w the dr brown nipples and wasn't drinking as much. So I tried using the nursette nipples and she did a little better.
Questions: I wish there was a way to increase her appetite. She's such a peanut and sometimes takes an hour to finish a 2-3oz bottle. Any tips??
Feeding amount: One of my girls takes 4-5 oz every 3ish hours. The other takes 5oz, and always wants to eat!
Bottles: Think we *finally* found the right bottles for both. My colicky girl is using the Playtex VentAire. The other is using Tommee Tippee.
-IDK if this is a "tip", but I've found that washing bottles as I go (vs. letting them pile up in the sink) makes life easier. Though maybe b/c our dishwasher is broken, and I'm washing for 2
@deevaswani I know when my LO is being slow with eating I either take the bottle out of her mouth or shake the bottle a little in her mouth then she starts to eat.
BOTTLES: The cheap Gerber ones. I recently tried our Tommee Tippee's again and LO did fine with them, so I'm working them back in.
TIPS: I like the medela steam bags for sterilizing. I try to sterilize everything and pacifiers once a week.
@MrsC430 I keep a bowl with water and dish soap at the sink and toss the bottles in it. I wash the pieces once a day, sometimes twice if I'm in the kitchen doing other things and have a moment.
@missnacholover don't beat yourself up. How your child is fed does not dictate what type of parent you are. Our pedi told me a story about early in his career of a mom of twins who kept complaining she couldn't wean her kiddos (18mos). She ended up getting busted for cocaine....thus answering why she couldn't wean her kids!
I have 4 coupons for $2 off any similac that expire on the 31st if anybody is interested in them.

DD will be 8 weeks old on Monday. She is taking 4 oz every 3 hours during the day, & goes 6-7 hours between feelings for the night stretch. Lately, after the last night feeding (1-1.5 hours later, before she is asleep for the night) she starts screaming & crying & acting hungry, so we give her 2 more ounces. But she seems content with 4 oz the rest of the day. We use Avent natural & they work well
LO AGE: 2mos tomorrow, 9wks on Mon
FEEDING AMOUNT: 4oz every 3hrs for the most part.

Thanks. I have a few friends who have had babies recently or are having babies in the near future and it just seems like BF is EVERYWHERE and it's just making me feel shitty and sad that LO and I never figured it out. I know she's happy and whatnot, I'm just feeling a little guilt for not trying harder and for giving up pumping so soon. But, as DH reminds me, my mental health is important too.
@Dumbgurl04 I do that as well and it doesn't help. She'll just push the bottle out w her tongue. sometimes she'll root for a bottle within 10-20 minutes. Hence why it takes almost an hour sometimes to feed her (she enjoys grazing). Today she's been abnormally sleepy compared to her usual routine, so in between long naps she drank 4oz in a shot which is very unusual for her. Still took in only 17oz in the last 24 hours (she's almost 10 weeks old). I always have such anxiety about her not eating enough even though I know that she'll eat as much as needs...no more no less. But still can't shake off this irrational anxiety. Ugh
How much are you feeding: He eats 5 oz every 2-3 hours with a 6 hour stretch at night.
What bottles are you using: We're using Avent and Playtex Drop-ins
I use the naturalatch nipples and I did have them collapse once. I thought it was because he was particularly hungry and was pulling hard in it.
I don't feel guilty about not breastfeeding. I gave it everything I had and did everything I could and my body just couldn't do it. The docs and LCs told me I'd never make enough to EBF. That being said, I do feel sad that I can't. My labour and delivery were so opposite to what I was hoping and then to not be able to BF, it makes me feel like my body betrayed me. It's tough. I try to remember, though, that BF comes with its own set of challenges. It is nice to be able to have SO help out with feedings.
