Just outed myself on the intro post, so I thought I'd make a separate thread...
My period has been anything but regular, so I didn't think anything of going six weeks between periods. Then I went to the grocery store and couldn't stand to look at anything except club soda and ginger ale. So I bought a test that day, took it that evening, and BFP.
I'm completely overwhelmed with my (adorable) daughter, learning how to be a mom to one is already a challenge, albeit one I enjoy. I haven't slept for more than three hours at a time in eight months...I can't imagine doing this all over again so soon.
No plans on getting KU anytime soon, but you'll figure everything out. You have 9 months or so to figure it out and your LO and new baby will be best friends
M14 January Siggy Challenge: Resolution I have no intention of keeping...SHOPPING LESS!
First off, congrats! Second off, when is your EDD? I'm thinking you will be joining me in the new BMB! I got my BFP in December. Since I'm super irresponsible though, I have no idea when I'm due, when my last period was, etc. etc. ) Thinking it will be late August or early September though.
Keep in mind that things will be SO different 6, 7, 8 months from now! Baby isn't coming tomorrow, so no need to stress out. As more time passes your DD will get better at a schedule, will get better sleeping, and you will become even more of a pro at this whole mom thing! Plus, each baby is different! New baby could be a pro at sleeping and such from day one! You just don't know what the future will hold. Things will work out!
Congratulations and best of luck to you! Ill be TTC in May. I started a thread on here asking for advice from STM about adding another child to the family. You should read it, they gave me reassuring advice
I took a test yesterday because I too have very irregular cycles... it was a BFN but I was oddly slightly disappointed. I would be excited to have another one close in age to DS but "the plan" is to wait another couple years.
Congrats sheriot. My kids are 18months apart and it's great. Seeing them interact and seeing how much DD1 loves and cares for her little sister melts my heart every time.
Congrats! I think having them close together is great! I have 3 sisters and we are all close in age and we have an amazing bond. Now we are all having kids around the same time and going through the motherhood experience together. And my two are sorta close together and i find dealing with the lack of sleep closet together and having it done and over with is better (IMO), then spreading it out. I cant wait to sleep in again!!!
Congrats! I thought I was and I'm still not convinced I'm not because I keep getting really nauseous around the same time every day just like I did with her. The test was negative but still too soon to tell probably so we shall see. You will be great I know it's overwhelming now but as pp have said you have about a year and they will be good playmates!
Congratulations!!!! As of last night... Maybe!? Haha. We will probably start trying in May if it hasn't happened by then. Wasn't trying the first time so we'll see. I'm kinfof in the mindset of 'let's bang these things out before I'm too old' so won't mind if it happens quickly.
As PP said, you are preggo for so long so things will be different then! They'll have a best friend to grow up with too!
Congrats! Every time I see a newborn I get the itch for a second. Then DS wakes up after his 30 min power nap and I don't know what I was thinking. The "plan" is a few years but I know myself. I am impulsive and if I get something in my head, I have a hard time letting go.
Thank you guys. I really appreciate the encouragement. My sister and I are 23m apart and we are best friends...I hope at 18m apart these two can be best friends as well!
Congrats! We are going to start trying as soon as LO turns a year. I figure I don't want to get out of the baby stage and then go back in it. I'd rather get it all over with! I think there are pros and cons to having them close together and far apart. You'll be fine and at least your kids will have eachother to entertain themselves.
