While I was in college, my DH moved to Omaha and worked in a mall bookstore. A girl he worked with also worked at a coffee shop. He lived there about 5 months before I could make my first trip to see him. When I did, this girl would bring him free coffee and flirt like crazy. When she met me, she was very rude. She kept trying to get DH to give her guitar lessons at her place. He'd decline, and while I was with him, she said, "Mandy hasn't seen your family in awhile, just leave her with them tonight and come out with me and my friends." He said he really wasn't interested. I was so pissed at her existence. I just can't stand the word Barista now.
I still hate this girl 3 years later. I sent her an invitation to our wedding, my bridal shower, and she's on my baby shower invitation list as well. I don't know if she cares anymore, I just hate her so much that I want to rub it in her face that she tried really hard, but DH wasn't going after that.
Re: Why I Hate Baristas
She was unbelievable but WOW!
LOL at rubbing it in her face
And Susie's remark as well
Why, it isn't like it consumes me. I just think of her when I see or here the word barista and I don't like the taste of coffee, so I don't here the word often.
It is consuming you if you need to keep sending stuff to this girl.
If one of my DH's ex's sent me stuff like that, I'd think that she felt very threatened by me and that her relationship isn't on solid ground. I'd be laughing at you, not upset by any means.
Its all very juvenile.
