Trouble TTC

Grad Check-In 1/9 **BFP's mentioned**

So I lied when I said that I would have this check-in up and running this week with the additional details. It has been very busy and I apologize but I will have it completed by next check in, I promise!

If you did not provide this info last week, please answer the following information so that I can add some details to the check-in:

How far along are you?
Do you know the gender?
How many babies are you expecting?
What was your diagnosis?
What treatment worked for you to finally get your BFP?

If you did answer the above questions, let us know what is going on with you!

How are you feeling?
Have any important dr appts?

QOTW: What was/is the first thing you bought for the baby? Did it have any special significance or just because?

  • Great to hear from you @sugar4bri!  I can understand how you would feel the anxiety from the losses recently but it sounds like the boys are healthy and doing well!  Those kicks and punches must be quite reassuring.  ;)

This might be a really silly question - but what is V-day?
    **Formerly EastBayBride508**

    Me 34   Him 33

Me - Left salpingo-oophorectomy at 19 due to large cyst/torsion  and 2 large uterine fibroids found at age 30
Him - Borderline low sperm count (correcting through Fertility Blend supplement)

    Married 8/20/2011
    TTC #1 since Jan 2013
    First appointment with RE 10/2013.
    April 2014 - Clomid 100mg CD3-7.  HCG shot CD10 IUI #1 done on 4/12/14 (CD12) ....BFN
May 2014 - Break cycle to repeat saline sonogram and re-group.  Travel to Kauai 5/7-5/12 (Yay!!)
    June 2014 - Clomid 150mg CD4-8.  HCG shot CD14.  IUI#2 done on 6/9 and 6/10 (CD15-16) w/ Prometrium suppositories during TWW .... BFN
    July 2014 - Clomid 150mg CD3-7.  Ultrasound CD12 - 4 mature follies! HCG trigger shot CD12 AM.  IUI#3 on CD13 w/ Prometrium suppositories during TWW ....BFN
July 2014 - Repeat ultrasound done to measure size of fibroid - 8x9cm (the size of a grapefruit!) Surgery referral made.
August 2014 - MRI done which revealed 2 fibroids: a 13x15cm fibroid as well as an 8x7cm one.  Super freak out mode over surgery plan.  OB-GYN/surgeon said surgery would most likely have to be a laparotomy (open abdominal surgery)
August 2014 - After a 2nd opinion, plan to take Lupron x 2 months to shrink fibroids then laparoscopic/robotic myomectomy.  Surgery date is set for Nov 21st!
November 2014 - Robotic myomectomy done (2 large fibroids removed, mild endo found).  Benched x 3 months

    PAIF/SAIF welcome
  • How far along are you?  I am 23 weeks and 3 days today
Do you know the gender? We are having a girl!!!
How many babies are you expecting? At 7 weeks we were expecting 3, but lost our set of identical twins at 8 weeks. We still have our single girl!
    What was your diagnosis? PCOS
What treatment worked for you to finally get your BFP? 100 mg of Clomid

We started our registry last week, which has brought about a serious case of panics for me. Our house is under construction as we started this MAJOR project before we had or BFP and now I'm in my 6th month and we still are under massive construction. I started feeling our peanut about a week ago. She was facing back toward my spine, so kicks and movement weren't really obvious. She's also started kicking my ribs, which is causing some chest soreness. We almost made a trip to UrgentCare because of it. We have  a follow up anatomy scan next week, to check out her heart. She wasn't being cooperative and the tech couldn't get a great image of all 4 chambers, so we'll get to see her again!!!

QOTW: What was/is the first thing you bought for the baby? Did it have any special significance or just because? The first thing I bought was an outfit that says, "I love hugs from daddy." for my husband.
  • Sorry I'm so late! I wanted to have something to update with...
I'm 7w3d today and I had my first U/S today! There is only one bean with a great heart beat of 153! I had a huge sigh of relief. I don't think I've ever been so nervous/anxious in my life. I go back in 2 weeks for another US and then should graduate from the RE to the OB after that visit.

Just wanted to say that I think I might take a small step back from TB - The TTC side was great for the support, but the PG side is harder for me- it seems like everyone has some sort of problem and then the hypochondriac in me freaks out. I had a small panic attack last night before my appt because I thought something might be wrong and Dr. Google/TB was mostly to blame.... I think if I post, it will be on PAIF only and not my BMB. Miss yall though. I don't really feel like I fit in anywhere else yet. This group of women is most definitely the best on this whole site. Hope all of your treatments are going well, I've been lurking a little bit!
