Re: ~~~~ Friday ticker change 1/9 ~~~~
Thank you for checking-in. I haven't, per se, had a energy burst but my nausea has improved enough that I am starting to be able to get back into a better routine of cooking and getting things done around the house. DH is thrilled
! I thought I would try a day without zofran (I only do one a day) and it was a major fail. I ended up throwing up from 3P onward. Back on zofran once a day and my nausea hasn't been making an appearance until around 8P. The reflux is still a constant, and very annoying! BTW...DH and I had a nice long talk over dinner the other night and have decided to stay team green!
How far along are you? Week/Fruit. 15 weeks, naval orange
How are you feeling physically and emotionally? pretty good! I still have a ten o'clock bed time and even with b6/unisom I'm up every two hours for the bathroom throughout the overnight but I've been able to catch the occasional nap a couple days a week and have love lazy weekends!
Other updates? Thoughts, vents, baby preparation, etc.? My Mother in Law has been on my case about picking a crib (they want to purchase the crib for us) so we finally broke down last weekend and started our registry at both Baby's R Us and Buy Buy Baby via online. It's a slow start, but I figure in another six or so weeks we will get into the stores and be more serious about completing the registry's.
Upcoming milestones or appointments? we have another week and a half before our sixteen week appointment is scheduled. We will do quad screening at that appointment in order to have the results back to discuss at our 20 week appointment.
Do you need T&P's for anything? Doing well, Thanks!
QOTW: It's really cold and snowy here! What's your favorite winter activity? Do you like winter and/or snow? I'm not a huge fan of the snow or freezing cold, but as I grew up in South Dakota it was just life!! New Mexico doesn't get nearly as frigid!! I love ice skating, and miss the Minnesota lakes. We do have outdoor skating here in Albuquerque but it's nothing like skating in January/February/Mar in South Dakota or Minnesota!US (with RE) 3/24/2014 (two healthy HB), US (with OB) 3/31/2014 (three healthy heartbeats)

How far along are you? Week/Fruit. 13 weeks/Peach
How are you feeling physically and emotionally? I've been dealing with some constipation, nausea, not sleeping well, headaches, etc. A friend suggested I try magnesium (because deficiency can cause all those symptoms) - checked with my OB, and he said it was fine. Well it made a huge difference! I've been sleeping like a rock, nausea is totally gone, I've been regular, and no headaches since I started taking it earlier this week! It's nice to feel human again.
Emotionally I’m doing fine. No complaints right now.
Other updates? Thoughts, vents, baby preparation, etc.? I had both my follow up u/s and my first official OB appt (even though I’ve already been in 4 or 5 times). Both went really well. It looks like the SCH is gone, and they said there have been no changes in my cervix. Baby was so wiggly! That was really fun to see. With baby #1, we didn’t get to see him on u/s until after my water broke. He was in there really tight and so we never got to see him move.
Upcoming milestones or appointments?
My next appt. is on the 21st to check cervical length again.
Tomorrow is 5 months since we lost our first baby (I know my ticker says something else, but we lost him Aug 10th). Next Friday is my EDD for him. So I’m expecting the next little bit will probably be kinda rough.
Do you need T&P's for anything? I think I’m fine right now.
QOTW: It's really cold and snowy here! What's your favorite winter activity? Do you like winter and/or snow? I’m in Utah. We didn’t get snow until Christmas Eve, and it hasn’t really snowed much since. I still have some in my yard, but it’s starting to melt off – it’s been in the mid 40’s this week. The downside to Utah winter is that we get inversions, and so all the nasty pollution gets trapped until it rains, snows, or we get some wind. It’s pretty bad out there right now, and it really starting to affect my lungs.
When I was younger I used to looooooove sledding. I’m too old for it now because I get cold and it hurts when you crash. I grew up in the Midwest with harsh winters, so I’d say I’ve had my fill of cold and winter. I enjoy the milder Utah winters, although over the past few years I’ve acclimated to them, and now I’m just a whimp when it comes to the cold
How far along are you? Week/Fruit.
13 weeks peach
How are you feeling physically and emotionally?
I'm starting to feel much better. I'm not as nauseous, but that may be because I am not getting too hungry which was the main cause.
Emotionally I'm doing good. I may have felt my first flutter this week which made me smile.
Other updates? Thoughts, vents, baby preparation, etc.?
I realized this morning that this it was a year ago we confirmed I was miscarrying. Surprisingly I'm doing ok, but I think it's partially because I didn't know I was pregnant until I started miscarrying.
Upcoming milestones or appointments?
my next appointment is Jan 21 after that I will be notifying my new employer about this pregnancy.
Do you need T&P's for anything?
Not at this time
QOTW: It's really cold and snowy here! What's your favorite winter activity? Do you like winter and/or snow?
I love ice skating, but with the risk of falling I'm probably going to stay off the ice this year.

All are Welcome!
How far along are you? Week/Fruit. 13 weeks/Peach (EDD July 17) - team pink
How are you feeling physically and emotionally? Physically, pretty good - still having some back pain but I had that pre-pregnancy. Emotionally, trying to stay positive. No issues at any of my appointments but I am still hesitant to get too excited.
Other updates? Thoughts, vents, baby preparation, etc.? I told some people at work this week. We are going into our busy time so I thought it would be best to tell them now. I kind of wish I could take it back though in case something happens. Oh well.
I just bought a cute chandelier for the baby's room, so I am excited for when that arrives!
Upcoming milestones or appointments?
I had an appointment on Tuesday that went well. Next appointment is February 3
Do you need T&P's for anything? Just that everything continues to progress as it should!
QOTW: It's really cold and snowy here! What's your favorite winter activity? Do you like winter and/or snow? I like snow - grew up in the Midwest, but now I live in NC and we mostly get ice which is not fun. I like sledding but we never get enough snow for that! Something funny - one of my dogs hates getting his paws wet - he will boycott going to the bathroom for a full day if it is rainy outside. For some reason, he loves snow! He rolls around in it, puts his head in it, its so weird! I wish we got more snow so he and our other dog could play in it more.
How far along are you? Week/Fruit. Week 24/ Cantaloupe
How are you feeling physically and emotionally? I'm feeling pretty good this week. Baby must be long. He was able to poke me in the area just below my ribs, and kick me in the cervix at the same time.
Other updates? Thoughts, vents, baby preparation, etc.? I am trying to get some of the big purchases done this month. We are planning to buy the crib, and dresser/changing table, this month. We are also looking for a travel system. We are thinking about the Bob Motion Travel system, or the Britax B-Agile Travel System (both made by the same company). I have a really small car (a Yaris hatchback) and need something that will fit so we are going to go fit car seats and strollers this weekend. We may end up with the citi mini zip, if the others don't fit in my car.
Upcoming milestones or appointments? My next appointment isn't until the 29th. I know we will be scheduling my glucose test at that time, and talking about which birthing classes are available at the local hospital.
Do you need T&P's for anything? I feel pretty good this week. I'm going back to work on Monday (teacher) . I'm excited to see my class, but maybe I might need a few T&P's to survive the week with my now free-range kinder class.
QOTW: It's really cold and snowy here! What's your favorite winter activity? Do you like winter and/or snow? I live in California near the Sierra Mountain Range. I don't really get to experience snow, or real winter where I live (just frost and fog). I'm always excited if I get to drive up to the mountains to go play in the snow.
@mkfish31 T&Ps that your little one is doing well.
@DenaMaree I’m glad your nausea is improving. Hopefully it is gone soon. Yay for team green!
@smagglebit I’m glad to hear your SCH is gone. FX that all continues to look good with your cervix check on the 21st.
@tigerlynx31413 Yay for flutters!!!!
Hi pblge!!! Thanks for the check in
:-h
How far along are you? Week/Fruit. 8/raspberry
How are you feeling physically and emotionally? Emotionally I'm pretty good, physically my MS is getting pretty bad. I've only gotten sick once, but I am pretty much nauseous every waking hour. It's exhausting. I can't stand the smell of anything, and I work in an animal hospital! So that's pretty rough, but whatever, there's a baby in my belly!
Other updates? Thoughts, vents, baby preparation, etc.? Had an U/S on Wednesday and we saw a little bean with a heart beat of 156! First time ever I've seen a heartbeat, best feeling ever!
Upcoming milestones or appointments? Next appointment is not until January 26th for a physical and doppler check.
Do you need T&P's for anything? I'm good for now thank you
QOTW: It's really cold and snowy here! What's your favorite winter activity? Do you like winter and/or snow? My favorite winter activity is waiting for springMe 34 DH 31, Together since 2003, Married August 20, 2011, TTC since May 2013

33 weeks/durian
How are you feeling physically and emotionally? Emotionally I'm good but physically I am getting pretty uncomfortable.
Other updates? Thoughts, vents, baby preparation, etc.? Bought a changing table today. It's used but im going to refinish it and it's going to look great!
Upcoming milestones or appointments? 36 week appointment on 29th and a growth ultrasound which I am very excited for.
Do you need T&P's for anything? Nope but thank you.
QOTW: It's really cold and snowy here! What's your favorite winter activity? Do you like winter and/or snow? I love snow and actual winter sadly this year we dont have snow at all.
Sorry for format I am mobile.
How far along are you? Week/Fruit?
7 Weeks . Blueberry.
How are you feeling physically and emotionally?
Today was the most nauseous that I have been. And I'm not complaining. I never thought I would be so happy to feel like puking.
Other updates? Thoughts, vents, baby preparation, etc.?
A co worker completely went off on me for no reason and I secretly cried about it . Feeling very hormonal. Some people are just miserable and feel the need to make the people around them miserable too.
Upcoming milestones or appointments?
Thursday! Thursday !
Do you need T&P's for anything?
Just for a great appointment please. That would be wonderful .
QOTW: It's really cold and snowy here! What's your favorite winter activity? Do you like winter and/or snow?
I LOVE the snow ! We haven't had any this year
How far along are you? Week/Fruit. 22 weeks / papaya
How are you feeling physically and emotionally? Ok. Saturday is my loss anniversary date so I'm a little emotional. Physically feeling OK. Having trouble getting my eat habits together.
Other updates? Thoughts, vents, baby preparation, etc.? Stressed about getting the nursery organized -- really looking forward to my parents being here in two weeks, my mom is awesome organizing things lol. Maybe I'll learn!
Upcoming milestones or appointments? Appt in a week.
Do you need T&P's for anything? Just a hug for making it through tomorrow. I wish my H was here to be here with me.
QOTW: It's really cold and snowy here! What's your favorite winter activity? Do you like winter and/or snow? Nope! I mean I live in Hawaii....so it's chilly for here but it's still like 70 degrees.
@MrsSnyder124 - Glad the spotting has stopped! Since being pregnant I cry at EVERYTHING, and I think it's pretty common.
@tg1993 - Yay for a changing table! We bought ours used, too. Seems like one of the best baby supply products to buy pre-loved. Careful refinishing it--those are some nasty chemicals!
@dawnstar898 - Congrats on a great heartbeat! And LOL on waiting for spring. Our seeds for the veggie garden just came in the mail yesterday, and I had a long sigh when I realized how long it was going to be until they could be planted.
@kistyW13 - There's a lot of disagreement about where the lines are between the trimesters. I'm in the same grey zone as you now. My doctor said the second trimester started at 14 weeks and ends at 27+6, so that's what I've been using, but you'll definitely see sources that say it's 12 and 25+6. 40 weeks does not divide evenly by 3.Good luck finding a daycare--that does seem like an unusual situation to accommodate!
@heathersf11 - I know exactly what you mean about kicking the cervix and near the rib cage simultaneously--I wish I could have a good mental picture of things, because I find myself wondering often what the heck is going on in there! So sorry you have to go back to school.
@snlinega - Welcome to the group! I've added you to the list. I was nervous telling people at around your stage, but the chances of anything bad happening are about as low as they ever get. There's never a time where there's a guarantee, and I think you're right that work folks need to know at some point. If you're feeling generous, you could post a pic of that chandelier! I've had a really hard time finding lighting I like for any room, much less the nursery.
tigerlynx31413 - Glad the nausea is abating! Hope you're done with it for the duration. We just discovered the open ice skating rink in our town late last winter, and I'm really bummed to not be able to go. I'm terrible at it, so falls are guaranteed and too risky.
@smagglebit - Lots of good news in your post! Yay for the SCH being gone and a wiggly healthy baby! ((hugs)) for your upcoming EDD.
@DenaMaree - Wow, keep up with that Zofran! I know several other women who have been on it for most if not all of the second tri. And congrats on the Team Green decision--I love it when people go that way!
@mkfish - Don't worry about the symptoms. Some people just don't have many, and they tend to come and go. Definitely sending t&p that there is a healthy growing baby in you! Have you seen this website? She took published data and extrapolated the daily odds of miscarriage in the first tri. I checked it almost every day! You'll see that 8 weeks is pretty fabulous!

***Losses mentioned.*** TTC #1 since May 2012. Me: 37, OH: 41. Ectopic August 2012 => tubal damage.
How far along are you? Week/Fruit. 26 weeks! Some people would say I'm in the third tri now, but I think I still have two more weeks. I'm a lettuce (?!).
How are you feeling physically and emotionally? Fine, although I had a mini-spotting scare this week that was no fun. Probably just a burst blood vessel on my cervix, as it was a tiny amount of blood. Terrifying!
Other updates? Thoughts, vents, baby preparation, etc.? We officially switched to a midwife practice this week, which is very exciting. They deliver in a hospital, but have a natural childbirth mindset, which is what I'm hoping for. This is our fourth medical practice this pregnancy, so this has really been a struggle for us!
Upcoming milestones or appointments? I'm now in the appts every two weeks stage! The next one will include my GTT and other important tests, so it's a biggie!
Do you need T&P's for anything? No more spotting!!
QOTW: It's really cold and snowy here! What's your favorite winter activity? Do you like winter and/or snow? There's a foot of snow and a windchill of -10 outside right now, so I leave the house as little as possible. Our first winter in this city, three years ago, we installed a woodstove and I seriously think it was the best decision we've ever made in our lives. We LIVE by it all winter long. So sitting by it and reading/working (I work at home a lot) is my favorite activity, although I also love snowshoeing.***Losses mentioned.*** TTC #1 since May 2012. Me: 37, OH: 41. Ectopic August 2012 => tubal damage.
They actually cancelled school the other day because it was too cold! It was around negative 10 or so here too with the windchill. Spring where are you?????? We have a fireplace that we don't use right now, I would love to get some sort of insert for it, maybe a nice pellet stove. Wood stoves sound cozy too!

August 2015 Siggy Challenge: Favorite mean girl from a movie or show: Kathy Bates in "Misery"@mkfish31 congrats on reaching 8 weeks! I know it's easier said than done but try not to worry about a lack of symptoms. Symptoms (or lack of) aren't always an indicator of a viable pregnancy, but I know it's reassuring to feel them ((hugs)). Good luck at your u/s!
@DenaMaree sorry about the reflux. FWIW I have had it my entire pregnancy, and it's been awful so I feel for you! I have been keeping it under control(ish) with half a dozen or so tums per day but I finally caved and have been taking Zantac. Wish I had given in sooner!
@smagglebit congrats on seeing a little wiggle worm at your scan! I hope you were able to get through your loss anniversary ok, and I'm glad the magnesium was able towels you.
@tigerlynx31413 glad your nausea is letting up, and yay for feeling a little flutter! I was so excited when I started feeling LO! Those little movements are amazing.
@snlinega try not to worry about telling your co-workers. I think no matter how long we wait to tell people it's still nerve wracking. Just remember you cannot jinx this pregnancy by telling anyone.
@heathersf11 yay for 24w! It's amazing how LO's can reach cervix to rib cage so early. I wasn't expecting to feel that until much further along. My first cervix kick/head butt I yelped and DH laughed at me. It made me tempted to kick him between the legs to see how he liked it!!
@kistyW13 I am in the camp of the earliest you can "graduate" trimesters, the better! In. The end it doesn't really matter, but it helped PgAL brain to feel like I was into the next tri asap.
@dawnstar898 congrats on seeing a healthy little hb!! Sorry the MS is kicking your butt.
@tg1993 glad things are going well!! We got our change table used as part of the nursery set we got off kijiji. Definitely a huge score!!
@MrsSnyder124 glad to hear the spotting has stopped. Sending positive vibes your way for a great appointment Thursday!!
@kaynix21 big (((hugs))) to you. Hope you made it through your loss anniversary Saturday, and were able to spend some time chatting with YH.
@pblge thanks for running check-in as always!! I am also delivering in the hospital with a midwife, and think for me it is the best of both worlds. I can have the more natural approach to child birth but without any worries because if something were to go wrong I am still in the hospital with access to everything that comes with it. The only bummer was I wasn't able to choose which hospital I birth at, as my midwife only has privledges at 1. Was it the same for you?

*~*~* All AL Welcome*~*~*
How are you feeling physically and emotionally? Emotionally, good. Physically, just ready to have this baby out. The contractions have stopped other than the odd rogue one, but if I am on my feet too long I feel so much pain and pressure in my pelvis. Baby is sitting so low now, I hope that means it's not much longer!
Other updates? Thoughts, vents, baby prep? Finally the baby's room is so close to being ready. We got the closet emptied, and the monitor in place. Just a few things to hang on the wall and we are done!
Upcoming milestones or appointments? I am down to every week appointments now, and I had my GBS test done. I had to do the swab myself?? :-/ Awkward…it's not like I could see what I was doing? Hopefully it was fine and I get the results at my appointment this week.
Do you need T&P's for anything? Just for my test results! I know being GBS + isn't a huge deal, it's more important to know and be on top of things during delivery but I'm just hoping for minimal intervention during labour.
QOTW: I am in Ontario, so we have more than our fair share of snow and cold, but I can't say I love it. My favourite part is usually getting away south for a week every winter, however that obviously isn't happening this year. I'm kind of ok with the trade off though!!
